Junior Eurovision 2023: The hosts and stage design have been revealed!
After Lissandro’s win in Yerevan last year, the contest is now heading to the South of France, in Nice. It’s the first time that Nice hosts a Eurovision-related event and on the 26th of November the little “Heroes” from all 16 participating countries will shine on the stage of Palais Nikaïa. With less than two months to go, we have some very important update about the 21st edition of Junior Eurovision.
The hosts
The hosts of the 21st edition of Junior Eurovision contest were just announced. The event will be hosted by Olivier Minne and Laury Thilleman.
- Olivier Minne is no stranger to the Eurovision community, having previously hosted Junior Eurovision in 2021, presented the French votes in 1992 and 1993, and provided broadcast commentary from 1995 to 1997. He is also well-known to French television viewers as the host of famous shows such as “La Cible” and “Fort Boyard”.
- Laury Thilleman is a French journalist, model, television host, and actress who was awarded Miss France in 2011. In recent years, she has become an iconic face of France Télévisions, hosting events such as the “Victoires de la Musique” and the “Fête de la Musique”.
The stage design
The stage design was also revealed by France Télévisions and features a 12 metre high screen in the shape of wings, reflecting the slogan of this year’s editon.
