Lithuania: LRT reveals plans to promote Monika Linkytė!

Lithuanian broadcaster LRT has started a campaign called “Pridainuojam Europą” (Singing Europe).  The idea behind this plan is to show support to the Lithuanian representative for Eurovsion Monika Linkytė.

Pridainuojam Europą is bringing together smaller and bigger choirs to sing the phrase “čiūto tūto” from the Lithuanian song “Stay”.  If you want to participate in this initiative you have to go to pridainuojam.lrt.lt and send a clip of you singing this part of the song.  There you can find a karaoke of the song to help0 the participants to sing this part with their choir.

The short videos can be submitted between April 11th and 28th.

According to the guidelines of LRT, it is recommended to record the video without any background music (preferably a cappella).  LRT will share the submitted videos on television, radio and the internet.

LRT has also created the hashtag #pridainuojamEuropa to show support for Monika on social media.  This is part of the promotion plans of the broadcaster to their Eurovision representative.

Monika Linkytė is representing Lithuania for a second time after her 2015 Eurovision participation together with Vaidas Baumila.  She is set to perform in the Second semifinal on 11 May.
