Italy: Måneskin win Best Rock Video award at the MTV VMAs!

Eurovision Song Contest 2021 winners, Måneskin, were present at yesterday’s MTV Video Music Awards that took place in New Jersey.

The 2023 Music Awards were hosted by Nicki Minaj, who was along others, one of over 20 artists to perform live.

Måneskin were announced as the winners of the category best rock video, via the VMAs account on X (Twitter), because the show ran longer than the scheduled time, lasting more than four hours.

The video clip was edited by Tommaso Ottomano and was released on October 13, 2023. The filming took place at Villa Tittoni Traversi in Dezio, Italy. The video clip for “The Loneliest” has garnered over 62 million views within 11 months of its release, on YouTube. The song debuted at number one in Italy and has received numerous certificates.

Last year Måneskin were nominated in the categories: Best New Artist, Band of the Year and Best Alternative. They eventually won Best Alternative. This year they were nominated in the Best Band and Best Rock Video categories.

BLACKPINK were voted as the best group, while Måneskin won the best Rock Video!
