Croatia: Is Baby Lasagna’s Rim Tim Tagi Dim a copy of another song?

A demo by a dj that has actually existed for three years on YouTube under the name Espectro has been circulating in the last few hours on the forums and in the groups of Eurovision, who are commenting not just on the similarity, but on the faithful copying of part of Baby Lasagna’s song with which he will represent Croatia at Eurovision 2024.

You can listen and draw your own conclusions. After the 3rd minute exactly:

Baby Lasagna won a landslide victory in Dora 2024, Croatia’s national final for Eurovision and so with the song Rim Tim Tagi Dim, he will represent his country in Malmö. In fact, it is already considered one of the favorites, since Croatia is in second place in the betting for winning Eurovision 2024.

It remains unknown whether Baby Lasagna has copied or bought the specific sample. We will monitor the matter and update you with any new updates.

It’s fascinating to learn about the musical structure of “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” and its popularity within the context of keys and chords. E Minor is indeed a common choice in popular music, offering a melancholic yet versatile tonal palette. The prominence of minor chords in this song contributes to its emotive quality and overall aesthetic. Stay cool.
