Czechia: ADONXS will represent the country in Basel!

For the first time since 2017, Czechia has decided its Eurovision entry through an internal selection rather than a national selection. After teasing the announcement on social media, Czech broadcaster, ČT, revealed that ADONXS will represent the country at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in 2025.

How was ADONXS selected?

ČT opened a submission window for artists interested, which closed on September 30. The final decision was made by three different panels:

  • A focus group of Czech citizens (40%)
  • An international panel of music experts (40%)
  • A committee from ČT (20%)

These panels evaluated the submissions and ultimately selected ADONXS as the Czech representative.

His entry for the contest is set to be released in the coming months.

Who is ADONXS?

ADONXS is a 29-year-old Slovak artist known for his work as a singer, songwriter, dancer, and model. He began his music career as a member of the group PACE before transitioning to a solo career in 2021. That same year, he won the seventh season of the Czech-Slovak version of Idol.

His debut single, “Moving On,” became a hit, topping the Slovak charts. With his distinctive voice, charismatic stage presence, and openly queer identity, ADONXS has become a prominent figure in the Czech-Slovak music scene.
