Azerbaijan: Launches the selection process for Eurovision Song Contest 2023!

Just a while ago, the public broadcaster of Azerbaijan, Ictimai, announced the beginning of the selection process for Eurovision Song Contest 2023!

Ictimai published an open call to all artists and songwriters wishing to represent Azerbaijan in the 67th Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, asking for them to submit their proposals. Performers and composers intersted in participating in the selection can send in their performances, demos or new songs exlusively for Eurovision, as well as a small bio, in song@eurovizion.az until December 31.

Songs submitted to represent Azerbaijan must be fully prepared and comply with the rules of the contest published by the EBU. This wil also be the first time in years, that Azerbaijan allows artists to directly submit their proposals, instead of just searching for a song as they usually do.

Nadir Rustamli represented Azerbaijan in Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin with the song “Fade to Black” and ended up in 16th place in the Grand Final with a total of 106 points.
