Serbia: Sara Jo about her possible comeback!

Sara Jo, who represented Serbia in 2013 as a member of Moje 3, caught the attention of Eurofans again in 2022 when she tried to represent her country again by participating in the Serbian national final with the song “Muškarčina”.

Recently, she attended an event where, in an interview with Serbian media, she was asked whether she had prepared anything for this year’s Pesma Za Evroviziju and whether she plans to return to the competition, with her answering:

“I’m not thinking about it at the moment. In 2022 I signed up quite spontaneously and without much consideration. I had a song that I had fallen in love with, I knew exactly how it would be on stage, but this year I had no inspiration for it. I’d rather focus on my album, and maybe one day… who knows.”

Moje 3

Moje 3, consisting of Sara Jo, Nevena Božović (Serbia 2019) and Mirna Radulović (who has applied for PZE 2024), represented Serbia in Malmö in 2013 with the song “Ljubav je svuda”, finishing 11th in the first semi-final.

PZE 2022 – Muškarčina

In 2022 Sara Jo competed at PZE 2022 with the song “Muškarčina” finishing second, very close to the country’s representation which was eventually won by Konstrakta and “In Corpore Sano”.

Eurovision 2022: Serbia’s Second Rehearsal!

After Michael Ben David from Israel, Konstrakta from Serbia is ready for her second rehearsal on the stage of the 66th Eurovision Song Contest, where she will perform the song “In Corpore Sano“.

Everything About Konstrakta :

Ana Đurić, aka Konstrakta, is 28 years old and was born in Belgrade. After participating in music groups Mistakemistake and Zemlja gruva! from 1997 until 2019, Konstrakta started her solo career.

On 8 February 2022, “In corpore sano” was announced as one of the 36 entries for the national selection festival broadcast on Radio Television of Serbia to choose Serbia’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Entering the competition as an underdog, Konstrakta quickly acquired popularity following her performance in the first semi-final on 3 March, where she placed second and thus qualified for the final. In the final, which was held on 5 March, “In corpore sano” won both the jury vote and the public vote, receiving 31.34% of the public votes and therefore winning the competition.

The Second Rehearsal

Konstrakta is on stage 20 minutes later than expected. At first she seems to have a small probleam with her “in-ear monitor”. The singer is doing her washing hand routine with five other persons around her, giving her towels. At some points of the song there are lyrics in the screen so viewers can understand the meaning of the song. The staging is pretty dark, with dark blue lights and you see some hands in the LED behind. Even though she was very good vocally she complains that she cannot hear the music.

In her second run everything seems to be fixed and she delivers her song perfectly. Konstrakta and her team are trying to find the perfect volume for the music in her in-ear because she mentioned that at this time it was a bit loud.

A perfomance that can really be loved by televoting because of the catchiness and uniqueness.

Eurovision 2022: Serbia’s First Rehearsal!

After Michael Ben David from Israel, Konstrakta from Serbia is ready for her first rehearsal on the stage of the 66th Eurovision Song Contest, where she will perform the song “In Corpore Sano“.

The Rehearsal

As with previous performances from Konstrakta, the staging involves some quality furniture, intense hand-washing, and some nice towel choreography from her five backing singers.

This song and performance is entirely different from anything else in Eurovision this year and has a really interesting, hypnotic quality. Also how clean are Konstrakta’s hands going to be after all these rehearsals?

Serbia: Konstrakta’s “In corpore sano” remains in Serbian For Eurovision!

Speaking to Blic yesterday after her triumph in Pesma za Evroviziju ’22!, Konstrakta confirmed that her song “In corpore sano” will remain in Serbian for the Eurovision Song Contest. Specifically, she says in the article that the song will remain in Serbian as when it was translated into English the lyrics no longer matched the rhythm of the song.

Konstrakta went on to add that the Serbian team is working to make sure the international audience understands the message of the song, explaining:

Whether it will be through subtitles, whether on those screens, we have to resolve this issue as we go along.

As for the direction of her performance, she is happy with the concept she presented at Pesma za Evroviziju’22:

We will stick to what has been set, it is quite well thought out and I think it works, there will be a change in the details, we are not going to change the concept. It is in our interest to make it look the best it can possibly be, because that is what our union is all about. There is no need to invent hot water.
