After Amadeus announced his retirement from the position of presenter and artistic director of the Sanremo festival. Sanremo 2024 was be the fifth and final festival run by the popular Italian TV presenter.

I say it officially: this is my last Festival. Five in a row is a lot. I am honored to have drawn Pippo Baudo and Mike Bongiorno. If in a few years they asked me I could go back, yes in the future but now I have to stop.

During that period, there were many rumors about Amadeus to host and artistically direct the next two editions of the Sanremo Festival2025 and 2026. Unfortunately, RAI denied that rumor with the withrawal of Amadeus being official.

The Italan public broadcaster is currently searching for the new presenter of the famous music show. Many names and rumors are heard until today, but recently it became known that the  famous Italian singer Mina is among the candidates to host the next edition of Sanremo.

According to La Verità, in fact, Mina is among the candidates to inherit the artistic direction of Sanremo from the record-breaking host. The there were circulations about the fact that Mina would host back in 2019 and it seems that this is happening again.

Italy: RAI wants Amadeus back to Sanremo!

Italy’s public broadcaster RAI wants Amadeus back as artistic director of Sanremo.

Not even a month has passed since the end of this year’s Sanremo festival, and it seems that it is not easy for RAI to let go of the previous artistic director of the festival, who for quite some time had announced that 2024 would be the last year that he would be in this position.

According to Italian media, RAI has resumed negotiations with Amadeus in an attempt to convince him to renew his contract for two more years, i.e. until 2026.

However, later Amadeus himself live from the show Viva Rai 2 put an end to the aforementioned scenarios saying that there was indeed a meeting with the director of public television of Italy, however there was no proposal to continue in the future in the position of artistic director of Sanremo.

Italy: Will Elettra Lamborghini be the next host of Sanremo and what changes could she bring to the festival?

Elettra Lamborghini, one of the biggest superstars of Italy, was invited in the radio show Un giorno da pecora and revealed that she will apply for the role of the host of the next edition of Sanremo Festival, after the withdrawal of Amadeus.

The granddaughter of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the founder of the talian manufacturer of luxury sports cars Lamborghiniannounced that she would like to return to the stage of Sanremo not only as a performer but also as a host. In fact, she would like to host the festival, together with Alessandro Cattelan, one of the names considered as successors of Amadeus, but also familiar to fans, as he was one of the hosts of Eurovision 2022, in Turin, Italy.

As for the changes she would make at the Festival, as a hypothetical new artistic director, Elettra, on the occasion of this year’s results and the uproar created, with the dominance of Geolier, in televoting, considers that the current voting system should be reviewed, while she wishes better results, for songs that will enter the charts in the following weeks, after the festival.

Finally, on the occasion of the political statements on the stage of Sanremo, as happened in the case of Ghali, she believes that space should be given mainly to music.

Eurovision 2022: Artists will enter the stage like in Sanremo Festival!

Eurovision 2022 will have a great difference compared to what we are used to. The hosts of the contest (Laura PausiniMika and Alessandro Cattelan) will call each artist by their name to enter the stage, just like they do in Festival di Sanremo!

Before the postcard of each country, the hosts will call the name of the artist to enter the stage. This is a tradition that is used in the Sanremo Festival. We will also watch a few seconds of the artists entering the stage.
After that, with the help of a drone named Leo, and the addition of special 3D effects we will travel to different beautiful locations of Italy, which RAI chose for the filming of the postcards. Going even further, the artists will see a video that they haven’t watched before and react to it.
