Amanda: “The process in Norway is very scary”!

Amanda gave an interview to Marte Stokkstad, a Norwegian public television presenter and commentator of the contest. Among those asked was why she participates with Greece and not with Norway.

Amanda’s answer was clear and was not the one that was mistakenly conveyed on social media:

Wanting to cross-reference the above, we asked Amanda to listen to the audio clip in question and we convey to you literally what was finally said in this interview:

I participated for Greece because I am Greek…The process in Norway is very scary , with all these semifinals, duels. The song is exposed for 5 weeks and this is scary for me!

This was Amanda’s answer to the question why she never participated in the MGP and not why she considers it a circus, as it was falsely said!

Update:

Some minutes after our article published, Eurovision Norway asks apologies for the false and the misunderstanding

Who is Charley

Emerging as a new addition to Australia’s growing pop music community, Gold Coast born / Sydney-based musician Charley is someone that encapsulates the talent and prowess of the genre’s arena-selling stars with the forward-thinking creativity of its limitless next generation.

As a songwriter, she’s someone that puts 100% of herself into everything she writes, and after showing one side of that through her debut single ‘Hard For Me’ – a song that “embraces female sexuality and unapologetic love” – and her second single ‘Arizona’, which introduces a more personal edge to Charley’s music, a song born from the anxiety that has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember.

Australia: Interview with Sheldon Riley | From The Voice Australia to pouring his heart out on Australia Decides 2022!

After being chosen for this year’s national final, Australia Decides 2022, Sheldon Riley speaks exclusively to EurovisionFun and Apostolos Bogiannos and Apostolis Matamis.

Sheldon is one of the finalists for Australia’s national final for Eurovision 2022 and will try to represent his country with the song “Not the Same”

I’m a big fan of Eurovision from when I was a kid and i always wanted to be part of it, and the national final is the first step to represent my country. It’s the right time. i wrote this song a few years ago. The lyrics reflect how I evolved and reached the point I am right now. It was not written for Eurovision from the beginning, it was a personal song I always wanted to sing. When the submissions on SBS were open, I felt that it was right to submit the song and I didn’t want to make any changes.

Known for his spectacular appearances, Sheldon talked about his thoughts on his appearance in the national final:

It will be something big, if you have seen me in the past, I draw inspiration from James Bond. It will be cinematic and pretty dark. Music and staging will mix together perfectly. I am excited about my performance.

Sheldon can’t wait for the competition while he want to listen the other competing songs. He considers himself to be his greater enemy.

Eurovision is a childhood dream, as well as him taking part in The Voice Australia, he wants to not only take part in a competition but the presentation of a song in total using the creativity that comes from him.

His favorite Australian contestant is Dami Im (2016). While from the competition in general, the participants that stand out for him are Barbara Pravi (France 2021) and Conchita Wurst (Austria 2014)

I wanted to start singing thanks to Amy Winehouse, I wanted to start writing music thanks to Adele and I wanted to start presenting something on stage like Lady Gaga. With my participations on The Voice Australia and America’s Got Talent I wanted to offer myself to the world. I am already known in Europe, America and Asia.

Not the Same” will be available on February 15.

Cyprus: Andromachi To Represent the Nation at Eurovision 2022?

Greek singer Andromachi is rumored to have been chosen as the nation’s representative for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Lately, the scenarios for the successor of Elena Tsagrinou, are on fire, as more and more names were on the table for the representation of the island in this year’s Eurovision, but it seems that the final decision has been made.

In contrast to other years, RIK has been late in announcing the artist who will represent it at the upcoming Eurovision, as it was first looking for the right song and later the singer, who will perform it.

According to the Cypriot radio show “Good Morning Show”, the name of the singer that will represent Cyprus ends with “machi”. This information comes after the denial of the rumor that appointed Ivi Adamou as Cyprus’ representative. CyBC has yet to state when an announcement will be made regarding the nations entry.

Specifically, the journalist stated that the song is ready and the signatures have fallen. According to him, the representative of the island of Aphrodite, for this year will be Andromachi Dimitropoulou.

See the full report in the video below:

This year, Marvin Dietmann and Dan Shipton will be the artistic team behind the Cypriot participation for Eurovision 2022.

Who is Andromachi?

Andromachi Dimitropoulou, simply known as Andromachi, was born in 1994 in Manheim, Germany. She rose to fame in 2015, when she participated in the Greek version of The Voice. Even if she just made it to the live shows, she immediately became a huge star in Greece. Among her singles, the most remarkable ones are “Na Soun Psema”.
