Eurovision 2024: Watch tonight the results of our poll for the two Semi-finals!

Today is the first station of our voting, as the results of the Semi-Finals are going to be released.
The 20 countries that will qualify to the Final will be announced tonight via a live premiere on our YouTube channel.

As in Eurovision, as also in our simulation 100% of the result for the countries that will go to the final has been determined by your vote, based on the change in the competition where only the public votes in the semi-finals.

Greece and Cyprus are excluded for objectivity reasons.

Tonight at 20:00 CET, you will be able to watch the ten countries that qualify for the final from each Semi-Final through the video below.

The voting for the Grand Final will follow, where 50.6% of the result will be determined based on your own vote and the remaining 49.4% by the editors of Eurovisionfun.

France: Return to national final to select future representatives?

After two consecutive years of internal selectionsAlexandra Redde-Amiel, France’s head of delegation, states in an interview that a national selection process is likely to be used to select the country’s future Eurovision entries.

Australia: Electric Fields rehearsing for Eurovision 2024!

Electric Fields, the Australian representatives for Eurovision Song Contest 2024, shared a sneak peek of their rehearsals for Malmö on their Instagram account. In the video, Zaachariaha Fielding is seen singing their entry “One Milkali (One Blood)” acapella.

 

It is noted that this year’s australian song is written by Michael Ross and Zaachariaha Fielding.

Australia will perform on the second half of the first semi final on May 7th and, more specifically, Electric Fields will take the stage as act No.13.

OGAE Poll 2024: The results from Turkey!

For every year since 2007, OGAE International conducts the OGAE Poll, which includes the votes of its members from 42 different countries. After the first country, France, submitted its votes, it is now Turkey’s turn to cast its votes.

In detail, the 122 members of OGAE Turkey voted as following:

  • 12 points to Italy
  • 10 points to Croatia
  • 8 points to Switzerland
  • 7 points to Greece
  • 6 points to Belgium
  • 5 points to Spain
  • 4 points to Austria
  • 3 points to Sweden
  • 2 points to France
  • 1 point to Azerbaijan

Germany: “Alles Eurovision” returns on NDR for Eurovision 2024!

Earlier today, NDR, the public broadcaster of Germany, announced that “Alles Eurovision”, a show about Eurovision, will return on screen, but slightly changed!

Switzerland: “We are ready to host Eurovision 2025” says the head of delegation!

Switzerland could become the venue for Eurovision Song Contest 2025, according to Yves Schifferle, head of delegation of the SRF, to the Contest. We remind you that Nemo represents the country in this year’s Competition and is currently the top favourite to win.

Yves Schifferle expressed enthusiasm for the course of “The Code” in the betting odds, but remains reserved:

The whole team is really happy about this support, it gives us a boost. It’s still five weeks until the competition and a lot can change before then. We are now concentrating on the performance, rehearsing and still have a lot to do before Malmö”

In addition, he revealed that initial discussions have already begun for a possible event hosting next year, saying:

We will contact cities that could potentially host the ESC. Cities with large halls and good infrastructure are eligible, for example Zurich, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne or Basel.”

In the end, he referred to the high costs involved in such a large event:

A strong partner city is needed that undertakes a significant portion of the costs and services. You also receive a financial contribution from the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) and ticket and sponsorship is generated.Producing the biggest music show in the world has a big impact on budget and resources.However, other broadcasters in Europe faced similar challenges and found ways to finance this major event.”

The statements of the Swiss head of delegation show that Switzerland wants and is ready to achieve their third victory after their last one back in 1988 with Céline Dion and the song “Ne partez pas sans moi”.

Nemo is going to participate in the fourth spot of the Second Semi-Final of 9th of May.

Eurovision 2024: Preperations are underway at the Malmö Arena!

Malmö beats in the rhythm of the 68th Eurovision Song Contest, as work begins on the arena.

Ιn particular, Malmö Arena is under intensive preparations, with construction of the rigging, sound equipment and stage for the competition to have begun. SVT is going to work in daily basis at the venue to make sure that everything is perfect for the stand-in rehearsals later this month.

Eurovision 2024

Loreen won the 67th Eurovision Song Contest with her song “Tattoo” in behalf of Sweden, making her the first woman that has won the contest twice.

Overall Sweden has succeeded seven Eurovision victories (in 1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, 2015 and 2023). This makes Sweden the joint most successful country in ESC alongside Ireland. Malmö will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, which is the third time, following hosts in 1992 and 2013.

Eurovision 2024: Vote for the Semi-finals in our poll!

Like every year, we are conducting a poll for this year’s Eurovision! So, Eurovisionfun in collaboration with Douze Points channel on Youtube is organizing our established big poll.

We are starting with the two semi-finals. The voting is open until Saturday April 6th for the ten countries that will go through each semi-final.

Greece and Cyprus are excluded for objectivity reasons.

The results will be announced on Sunday 7/4 at 20:00 CET. 100% of the result for the semi-finals will be determined based on your vote. In the final, 50% of the result will be determined based on your own vote and the remaining 50% by the team of Eurovisionfun.
