Netherlands: Joost Klein’s song “Europapa” will be revealed through a special show of “De Avondshow”!

As we’ve previously informed, the song with which the Netherlands will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, will be released on February 29.

To be exact, Joost Klein’s song is called “Europapa”, and will premiere in the 29th of February, on a special show called “De Avondshow”, on 16:45 CET.

After that, Joost Klein will be present in the studio, in order to answer some questions in a short interview with the host Arjen Lubach. Questions will be on his song and his preperations for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.

Joost Klein was born in November 10, 1997, and he is a Dutch rapper, composer and formr YouTuber. He is known for his songs, “Scandinavian Boy”, “Wachtmuziek”and“Friesenjung”. His songs are mainly in the hip hop genre, but with influences from electronic music.

“Europapa”, is surely one of the most anticipated of the season, after last year’s non-qualification of the Netherlands, after six years.

San Marino: The results of the fourth semi-final of Una Voce per San Marino 2024!

San Marino commenced  its search for the representative of the country in Eurovision 2024. Una Voce per San Marino 2024, the national final of the country, consists of five semi-finals, a second chance round and the Grand Final.

Ilenia De Sena and Camillia Spinelli are the hosts of the semi-finals.

A few minutes ago, the fourth semi-final was completed with 30 artists taking part.

The 30 artists that took part in the fourth semi-final were:

In the end, the jury selected one artist that qualified directly to the final, and four artists that qualify for the second chance round.

The artist that qualifies for the final is DEZ with the song “Freedom”. 

The four artists that qualify for the second chance round are:

  • DƏVA – “One Love”
  • Effemme – ¨Half Full Glass¨
  • Nadine Randle – “What’s on your mind”
  • Sandro Machado – “Mi Sangas Sen Vi”

San Marino: Loredana Bertè confirmed!

Today, the participation of the famous italian singer Loredana Bertè in the national final of San Marino has been confirmed. The singer is going to perform Pazza, her entry in Sanremo 2024 that finished seventh in the italian song festival.

Malmö is a special city for Loredana Bertè, since Mia Martini, her sister who is no longer alive, finished in the fourth place for Italy in Eurovision 1992 with the song Rapsodia.

We remind you that the Grand Final will take place on February 24, 2024 at Teatro Nuovo in Dogana.

The program of Una voce per San Marino 2024:

February 19 – First Semi-Final
February 20 – Second Semi-Final
February 21 – Third Semi-Final
February 22 – Fourth Semi-Final
February 23 – San Marino Semi-Final

Germany: The detailed voting results of “Ich Will Zum ESC”!

“Ich Will Zum ESC!” was a contest conducted by the German public broadcaster, in order to select an artist to take part in their national final, Das Deutsche Finale!

The public broadcaster, received a total of 20.000 votes for “Ich Will Zum ESC!”, with Floryan winning the ticket for the National Final. Below you can see the detailed results of the three finalists:

  1. Floryan – 6,132 phone calls, 2,165 SMS, 1,095 online – 9,392 votes
  2. Luca M. Wefes – 5,121 phone calls, 2,517 SMS, 1,113 online – 8,771 votes
  3. Anne Im – 4,052 phone calls, 1,901 SMS, 894 online – 6,856 votes

NDR recorded a viewership of 370,000 viewers, and a percentage of 1.9% across Germany.

In the end, the winner of the national final, was Isaak, with the song “Always on the Run”, and he will take part directly in the Grand Final of Eurovision 2024, in May 11:

Croatia: The stage of Dora 2024!

ΗRT, the public broadcaster of Croatia, published a picture of the stage of Dora, the country’s national final for Eurovision 2024!

With a post on their official Instagram account, the public broadcaster, revealed the stage, which we’re going to see on Thursday for the first time.

The stage was  sdesigned by Igor Juras.

We remind you that the national final of Croatia, will take place on February 22 and 23 with the two semi-finals, and the Grand Final on February 25. The hosts of the three shows will be Duško Ćurlić, Maja Ciglenečki, και Anja Cerar.

Faroe Islands: Five year support to KVF is needed for its integration in the EBU!

As we’ve previously informed you, the public broadcaster of the Faroe Islands, which is called KVF, hopes to become a member of the EBU, in the near future.

For yet another year, an artist from the Faroe Islands, took part in the DMGP 2024 ending up in third place. That is Janus Wiberg with the song “I Need Your Love”.

The public broadcaster of the Faroe Islands, has expressed its interest in competing in the Eurovision Song Contest, but taking into account that the Islands are part of the Danish Realm, the complete EBU member status, is not yet been approved.

Sirið Stenberg, the Minister of Social Affairs and Culture, was iin Liverpool last year alongside Ivan Niclasen. In this way, the public broadcaster, decided that the Faroe Islands must be a part of the EBU, and represent the Faroeses in Eurovision.

A five year support to KVF is essential, for its integration into the EBU. The EBU is responsible for Eurovision and it’s a partnership between public broadcasters. Becoming a member of the EBU will cost 1.5 million ISK, adding to the half million ISK for its annual membership.

However, all these plans are still in the making…

Denmark: DMGP 2024 viewership was a little higher than last year!

Last Saturday, the national final of Denmark took place, with Saba and the the song “Sand” being the winner of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2024, and the coubtry’s representative in Eurovision 2024!

996 thousand people, watched the final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, a number that’s 27 thousands higher than the 2023 edition. In contrast with last year, the viewership is a bit higher, and DMGP was the most popular show in Denmark for the previous week.

In 2022, 985 thousand people watched the final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. In 2021, there was a great viewership of 1.532.000 viewers and in 2020 this number was 1.194.000, a number that was much lower than 2019.

The Netherlands: Joost Klein’s song “Europapa” will be released on February 29th!

About an hour ago, Joost Klein in collaboration with the Dutch public broadcaster, AVROTROS, and the Eurovision official Instagram account, published a new Reel revealing that his Eurovision song is called “Europapa” and will be released on Thursday, February the 29th!

Joost is an eccentric and controversial Dutch artist who recently stirred the pot with his discography, which includes a song that embodies his love for Russia. The song in question is named “Jackass”, and it was published on March 11, 2022, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It was recorded in cooperation with Russian musician CMH.

AVTROTROS has already responded to the allegations and stated that, Joost Klein has never made any political remarks that support Russia.
