Ιreland: Listen to the Revamped Version of “We Are One”!

A few minutes ago, the updated version and video clip of Ireland‘s song “We Are One” for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, with Wild Youth, was released. Wild Youth were selected to represent Ireland in Liverpool after winning Eurosong 2023, which was broadcast as part of the Late Late Show.

“We Are One” was written and composed by band members Conor O’Donohoe and Ed Porter alongside Jörgen Elofsson. Jörgen has written hits such as “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” by Kelly Clarkson, “(You Drive Me) Crazy” by Britney Spears and “Fool Again” by Westlife.

Wild Youth will perform in the first half of the first semi-final on May 9.

Moldova: Listen to the revamp of Trenulețul!

A few minutes ago, Zdob şi Zdub and Fraţii Advahov presented the final version of “Trenulețul”, with which they will represent Moldova the upcoming May in Turin.

The revamp of “Trenulețul”, the song that will represent Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, was performed tonight. The revelation was made at “Cine vine la noi” in Moldova 1.

The updated version of “Trenulețul” includes a different introduction to the song as well as an increased amount of words in English. Towards the end of the song there is now a guitar solo and a repetition of the song’s refrain in English and Moldovan.

Zdob şi Zdub are competing in the Eurovision Song Contest for the third time. The band represented Moldova in the country’s debut in the 2005 competition before returning again in 2011. Zdob şi Zdub & Fratii Advahov will appear in the first half of the first semifinal on 10 May.

Czech Republic: Listen to the final version of “Lights Off” by We Are Domi!

We Are Domi, the representatives of the Czech Republic, released the final version of “Lights Off” for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin

The final version was heard for the first time in the Romanian final where We Are Domi were invited on March 5. 

Today the song was released on all digital music platforms.

The music video for the Czech entry will be released later this week on March 18, the location of filming the video took place in Prague.

Czech Republic has been drawn to compete in the second half of the second semifinal  (positions 10-18).

North Macedonia: The final version of “Circles” by Andrea has been released!

Circles“, the entry of North Macedonia in Eurovision 2022, underwent a production revamp. The final version of the song, along with the music video, was uploaded on the official Eurovision YouTube channel.

MRT, the Public Broadcaster of North Macedonia, allocated a budget of 2,000 euros to improve the production of the song, after Andrea‘s victory in Za Evrosong, as the country is one of those that offer financial support to their representative after winning their national selection.

Andrea won Za Evrosong after a draw with Viktor Apostolovski with a total of 20 points each. Andrea was selected as the winner, having received more points from the jury.

North Macedonia will compete in the second half of the second semifinal on May 12th.

Albania: Listen to the revamp of “Sekret” by Ronela Hajati!

For yet another year, Albania chose its representative for Eurovision 2022 through its national song contest, Festivali i Kenges 60. The winner was Ronela Hajati with the song “”. Some time after her win, she said the her song will be revamped for Eurovision.

Ronela said in the past that she wanted the revamped version of her song to be done in London with the producer Diztortion, who has work with big names like: ShakiraDavid Guetta and Rita Ora. It is not confirmed, whether Ronela worked with him in the end.

Who is Ronela Hajati?

Ronela Hajati was born in September 2, 1989 in Tirana, Albania. Widely known as Ronela, an Albanian singer, songwriter and dancer. She was interested in music from a very young age, Ronela studied ballet and piano and took part in a variety of song and dance contests before making a career in the music industry. Ronela is known for her diversity in music, style and performance. She took part in a lot of Albanian song and dance contests, like Top Fest and Kënga Magjike. A lot of her songs had great success, getting millions of views in YouTube.

Albania will perform in the first semi-final and specifically the first half (numbers 1-8).

North Macedonia: With a new version of “Circles” to Eurovision 2022!

“Circles” the North Macedonian entry for Eurovision 2022 will undergo a production revamp ahead of the contest in Turin, Italy.

MRT the public broadcaster of North Macedonia has allocated a budget of 2,000 Euro to improve the production of the nation’s entry for Eurovision. The budget is part of a package of support that Andrea will be offered following her victory in Za Evrosong on Friday night.

Andrea won Za Evrosong after tieing with Viktor Apostolovski with a total of 20 points each. Andrea was selected as the winner in the tie-break having received more points from the jury,

Andrea will compete in the second half in the second semi-final on May 12.

Albania: Listen to a snippet of the revamp of “Sekret”!

A few hours ago, Ronela Hajati, Albania’s representative for Eurovision 2022, shared a small part of the revamp of her song “Sekret“.

Since Festivali i Këngës 60 in late December, Ronela Hajati works on the revamped version of her song for Eurovision Song Contest 2022. The singer posted a video and said that it will be the only snippet of the revamp that we are going to listen. As of now, we don’t know the exact date that the new version of “Sekret” will be published.

Ronela said in the past that she wanted the revamped version of her song to be done in London with the producer Diztortion, who has work with big names like: Shakira, David Guetta and Rita Ora. It is not confirmed, whether Ronela worked with him in the end. She has also not confirmed if the revamp of the song is completed.

In early January, the singer said that she wanted to keep the song’s lyrics both in Albanian and English and especially the phrase «1,2,3 ta marsha» to stay in Albanian. The clip that she published tonight had Albanian as well as English lyrics.

Israel: “Set Me Free” is a completely different song after the revamp!

We will hear a completely different song, since Eden’s Set Me Free has undergone so many changes, that according to the Israeli media, as well as the always valid Hebrew Eurovision Guide on Twitter, it is not reminiscent of its previous version.

The release date of the new and final version of Set Me Free remains unknown. But what has become known is that Moshe Kaftan will be the Artistic Director of Eden in the Eurovision 2021 song contest.

Apart from the artistic director, we also know that Moore Hamami, who is one of the greatest choreographers in Israel, will take over the choreography of Eden Alene. They have already collaborated with the singer during the selection of songs for this year, having choreographed the video clips of the three songs.

Israel will be one of the last countries to film the live on tape video for Eurovision 2021, with filming set for March 25th.

The Israeli recording will take place one day before the deadline for recording and submitting all backup performances to the EBU.

Israel will appear in the second half of the first semifinal on May 18.

Slovenia: With the Budapest Artistic Orchestra the revamp of “Voda”

The Budapest Artistic Orchestra was used to revamp the final version of Voda, Slovenia’s participation in Eurovision 2020, as revealed by Ana Soklič.

Immediately after her win at EMMA 2020, Ana Soklič announced that she would revamp Voda, even thinking of changing the language of the lyrics, which were originally in Slovenian. You can get a sample of the revamp in the video below:

Peter Pejtsik, a famous Hungarian musician and not only, is the conductor of the Budapest Artistic Orchestra. The release date of the revamp has not been announced yet, but Ana Soklič hopes to continue the tradition of recent years, which wants Slovenia to qualify for the Grand Final.

Israel: Listen to the final version of Eden Alene’s “Feker Libi”

With her “HaKokhav Haba L’Eurovizion 2020″ victory, Eden Alene took the anchor and will represent Israel at Eurovision 2020 in Rotterdam. Soon after, Israel’s broadcaster KAN set up a campus of composers attended by the country’s top creators. On February 13th the titles and the composers of the four candidate songs for Eden were made public, while on February 27th we listened to these four songs.

Through “The Next Song to Eurovision”, Eden Alene presented the four candidate songs. Lucy Ayoub, one of last year’s contestants in Tel Aviv, hosted the show. At the end of the night, the winning song was “Feker Libi” and Eden Alene will travel to Rotterdam to represent Israel.

Shortly thereafter, the final version of this year’s Israeli entry was released, just as we will listen to on the semifinal night.
