Breaking News: Alessandra withdrew from being the Norwegian spokesperson!

Alessandra Mele was scheduled to hand out points on behalf of Norway during tonight’s final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Now, however, Dagbladet has confirmed that she is withdrawing from that task.

Channel host Ingvild Helljesen takes over the task.

Iceland: Friðrik Ómar revealed as the spokesperson for Eurovision 2024!

RÚV announced that Friðrik Ómar will serve as the spokesperson for the Icelandic votes in Eurovision 2024.

In fact, Friðrik Ómar is no stranger to the Eurovision community. He represented Iceland in Eurovision 2008 as a part of Eurobandið with the song “This Is My Life“, ending up in the fourteenth place with 64 points.

So far, the following countries have revealed their spokespersons for Eurovision 2024:

  • Azerbaijan – Aisel
  • Belgium – Livia Dushkoff
  • Georgia  – Sopho Khalvashi
  • Switzerland – Jennifer Bosshard
  • Spain – Soraya
  • Luxembourg – Désirée Nosbusch
  • Slovenia – Lorella Flego
  • Greece – Helena Paparizou
  • Italy – Mario Acampa
  • Germany – Ina Müller
  • Denmark – Stéphanie Surrugue
  • Malta – Matt Blxck
  • The Netherlands – Nikkie de Jagger
  • Ukraine  – Jamala
  • United Kingdom – Joanna Lumley
  • Cyprus – Loukas Hamatsos

Iceland was represented this year by Hera Björk and her song “Scared Of Heights“, but on Tuesday night it was not announced among the ten finalists for Saturday.

Poland: Viki Gabor will be the Polish spokesperson for Eurovision 2024!

A few minutes ago, the public broadcaster of Poland, announced their spokesperson, the one that will reveal the Polish jury vote, for Eurovision, it’s no other than Viki Gabor.

Viki Gabor, was the Polish representative in Junior Eurovision 2019 which took place in Poland and gave the country, its second win in a row in the Contest, with the song “Superhero”!

In a post in X by TVP, the Polish public broadcaster, the young singer was revealed as the spokesperson for Eurovision 2024:

The spokespersons that have been announced for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 so far are:

  • Azerbaijan – Aysel Teymurzadeh
  • Belgium – Livia Dushkoff
  • Georgia – Sopho Khalvahi
  • Greece – Helena Paparizou
  • Luxembourg – Désirée Nosbusch
  • Poland – Viki Gabor
  • Slovenia – Lorella Flego
  • Spain – Soraya
  • Switzerland – Jennifer Bosshard

The representative of the Poland this year is LUNA, with her song “The Tower” and she is competing in the first semi-final of Eurovision 2024 in May 7:

Greece: Helena Paparizou revealed as the spokesperson for Eurovision 2024!

It is now official. Following rumors claiming that Helena Paparizou will be the one handing out the votes of the Greek jury in Eurovision 2024, ERT has now officially confirmed it via a press release.

In a year that marks the 50th anniversary of Greece’s first participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, the internationally renowned performer—the only one who achieved a first place finish for Greece at Eurovision in 2005, in Kiev, Ukraine, with the song “My number one”—will announce the 12 points of the Greek Jury on the night of the Final, Saturday, May 11, 2024.

It will not be Helena’s first time as a spokesperson, having previously taken over in 2015, on the tenth anniversary of her win in Kiev.

Marina Satti will represent Greece in Eurovision 2024 with her entry “Zari” and will perform third in the second semi-final on May 9.

Slovenia: Lorella Flego announced as the spokesperson for Eurovision 2024!

RTVSLO announced that Lorella Flego will serve as the spokesperson of the Slovenian votes in Eurovision 2024.

In fact, it is not Flego’s first time as a spokesperson, having previously taken on this role in 2012, 2021 and 2022. Moreover, Lorella Flego has presented EMA, the Slovenian national selection in 2008 and 2010.

 

Slovenia will be represented in Eurovision 2024 by Raiven and “Veronika” and will perform ninth in the first semi-final on May 7.

Azerbaijan: Aysel announced as the spokesperson for Eurovision 2024!

Ictimai Television has announced that Aysel will serve as the spokesperson for the Azerbaijani votes in Eurovision 2024. Aysel is no stranger to the Eurovision community, as she has previously represented Azerbaijan in Eurovision 2009 along with Arash with their song “Always“, finishing third overall.

In fact, Aysel was also a member of the jury which decided the Azerbaijani representative this year in ITV’s internal selection process.

So far, the following countries have unveiled their spokesperson for Eurovision 2024:

  • Georgia – Sopho Khalvashi
  • Belgium – Livia Dushkoff
  • Switzerland – Jennifer Bosshard
  • Azerbaijan – Aysel

Azerbaijan is represented this year by Fahree and Ilkin Dovletov and will perform in the first semi-final on May 7.

Latvia: Jānis Pētersons will be the country’s spokesperson for Eurovision 2023!

Jānis Pētersons will be the spokesperson of Latvia during the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

The spokesperson of Latvia for this year will be the lead singer Citi Zēni, the band that represented the country in Eurovision 2022. The song “Eat Your Salad”, despite the positive reception it had, in the end it didn’t manage to qualify for the Grand Final of the show in Turin.

Austria: Philipp Hansa is announced as the Austrian spokesperson for Eurovision 2023!

ORF has announced the Hitradio Ö3 presenter, Philipp Hansa as this year’s spokesperson that will announce the Austrian jury votes at the final show.

Philipp has been a presenter at the station since 2012 and has also starred in a number of independent films. He was the Austrian spokesperson for 2019, 2021 and 2022 contests.

Ukraine: Zlata Ognevich is announced as the Ukrainian spokesperson for Eurovision 2023!

Suspline, the Ukrainian national broadcaster has announced Zlata Ognevich as the spokesperson of Ukraine for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Zlata, represented Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden, with the song “Gravity” and placed third.

It’s not the first time that Suspline annouces the singer as their spokesperson for the contest, getting the chance to announce the results at the final show of Eurovision Song Contest. She had announced the Ukrainian results back in 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark and 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine.
