Austria: The solo entries of Teya & Salena were on the top 3 of the internal selection!

This year’s Austrian representatives Teya & Salena were invited on the last episode of the Euro Trip podcast.

The duet revealed that they had also submitted separate entries in the internal selection for the representation of Austrian in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

Their solo entries managed in fact to reach the final top 3 of ORF’s internal selection alongside with Who The Hell Is Edgar? which they submitted together.

The duo were chosen to represent Austria in the contest last December by a Focus Group, made up of domestic and international audiences.

In the end, they revealed that Who The Hell Is Edgar? was written at songwriting camp last year just to make the other artists at the camp laugh at the end of the day. But after receiving a great positive reaction from the other songwriters, Teya & Salena’s manager recommended that they submit it to ORF, for Eurovision 2023.

Below you can watch the reaction video of the Eurovision Fun team to the Austrian entry for Eurovision 2023.

Teya and Salena are going to perform 13th in the Second Semi-Final on 11th of May at Liverpool.

Stay tuned on Eurovision Fun for all the updates regarding the Austrian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
