Ukraine: Listen to the 10 songs competing in Vidbir 2023!
A few minutes ago, the public broadcaster of Ukraine, UA:PBC, published through their official YouTube channel, the 10 songs that will compete in Vidbir 2023, in order to claim the country’s representation in Eurovision 2023!
Vidbir, Ukraine’s national final returns for yet another year, as the selection process of the country’s representative for Eurovision Song Contest. Programmed to take place a lot earlier than usual, being the first national final for Eurovision 2023 and most possibly the first song for this year’s contest to be chosen.
This year’s national final is of great importance to last year’s winners, as they will for sure try to defend their title. With 10 songs in total, chosen from the 384 songs submitted, Vidbir 2023 will take place live from the Maidan Nezalezhnosti metro station in Kyiv.
The 10 participants that claim the Ukrainian representation in Eurovision 2023 are:
- Moisei – «I’m Not Alone»
- OY Sound System – «Ой, тужу» (Οh, I miss you)
- DEMCHUK – «Alive»
- Jerry Heil – «WHEN GOD SHUT THE DOOR»
- FIINKA – «Довбуш» (Dovbush)
- KRUTЬ – «Колискова» (Lullaby)
- Tember Blanche – «Я вдома» (I’m home)
- Angelina – «Stronger»
- 2TONE – «Квітка» (Flower)
- TVORCHI – «Heart Of Steel»
The winner will be decided through a combination of jury vote and public vote. The jury that was determined by the public through an online voting, will be consisted of: Taras Topola, Jamala (Eurovision 2016 winner) and Yulia Sanina.
Despite coming second in Vidbir, Ukraine’s reprentatives, Kalush Orchestra were also the winners of Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with their song “Stefania”:
