Denmark: Listen to Reiley’s cover of Tattoo!

Reiley, the 26 year old representative of Denmark in Eurovision 2023, shared a video on TikTok, in which he is covering Loreen’s Tattoo, the Swedish entry for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. In fact, Reiley might be the most famous participant of this year’s Eurovision on social media platforms, having 10 million followers on TikTok!

@reiley

this song is way too high for me but I had to because ..Loreen ❤️

♬ original sound – Rei

It is obvious that Eurovision 2023 artists love to cover each other songs, showing their respect and companionship for each other. This is also what this year’s slogan is all about…United By Music!

Reiley with his song Breaking My Heart participated in the 2nd Semifinal on May 11, performing 1st. His first technical rehearsal is scheduled for today and will take place in a few hours.

Hungary: This would have been the Hungarian entry in Liverpool! | It won the A Dal 2023!

Last Saturday took place the final of the A Dal show, the music competition through which Hungary used to pick up their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, until they withdrew from the contest in 2020.

The winners of the A Dal 2023 were the band TITAN, descended from the Transylvania region, with the song Éjféli járat.

The reasons behind the absence of Hungary from Eurovision are the high cost of participation, the anti-LGBT sentiment of the Hungarian government and the mentality of the public towards these aspects.

Apart from the aforementioned reasons, another one is the big success of the A Dal show, which still goes on despite the absence of the country. Actually the A Dal rating were even higher than those of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Eurovision 2023: Azerbaijan’s First Rehearsal!

Next country to grace the Eurovision stage is Azerbaijan with TuralTuranX and their song “Tell me more”.

Everything about TuralTuranX

TuralTuranX is a musical duo from Azerbaijan which comprises of Tural and Turan Bağmanov. They started their career by performing at school events and later moving to the capital Baku and performing as street musicians with the band TheRedJungle.

The Rehearsal

After Israel bringing all the lights and camera action, this is joyfully low key and charming – just Tural and Turan on a heart-shaped podium centre stage, wearing matching green and purple suits and giving it beautiful harmonies. No sign of the trademark fedoras from the official video, but maybe they saw Gustaph from Belgium and decided not to get into Eurovision hat wars.

Everything About Noa Kirel

Noa Kirel is an Israeli singer, dancer and actress, with various musical accolades. She was the winner of the MTV Europe Music Awards for the best Israeli act between 2017 and 2022 and is one of the most critically acclaimed performers in the Israeli pop scene. Some notable milestones in her 7-year career include becoming a judge in Israel’s Got Talent in 2018 (and becoming, thus, the youngest judge ever at the age of 17),signing a contract with American record company Atlantic Records and opening Miss Universe 2021 with her song “Bad Little Thing”.

The Rehearsal

Noa starts her performance in a huge box lit with LEDs, with some nice rotating camerawork and lots of strobe lighting. She’s supported by five backing dancers, all in matching black and pink wet-look costumes, and the whole routine is pop-video polished from start to finish.

‘I’ve got the power of a unicorn,’ sings Noa, and you’ll be delighted to hear we took the opportunity to research what specific powers unicorns have. It turns out their horns have healing properties, so we’ll be calling on Noa for all our backstage first aid needs.

DO YOU WANNA SEE ME DANCE? asks Noa. Yes, yes we do. And we can confirm that it’s well worth the wait. THAT’S how you kick off a Monday.

Here is an exclusive clip of Noa’s rehearsal:

Cyprus: “I’m gonna play with fire” said Andrew!

With the first technical rehearsals for the 37 participating countries starting today, EurovisionFun is here covering every rehearsal and providing you with information about everything that is going on in Liverpool.

Our YouTube live videos are also back and in today’s live video we had a special guest. It was no other than Andrew Lambrou, this year’s Cypriot representative.

Check out what Andrew Lambrou shared with us:

I wanna start of just by saying a big “Thank you!” to you guys for the support you have been giving me throughout this whole process. It really does mean a lot to me and those things shine through. All the positivity around me means so much. I know you have been doing a lot and I appreciate all the work that you put in.

I’m feeling very good! I’m excited for tomorrow! Tomorrow is the day I’ve been waiting for a very long time. I get to see everything put together on the stage and I just can’t wait and I’m hoping that the world enjoys it too.

Can you tell anything about tomorrow?

I can say one thing to you…We’re gonna be playing with fire!

We have heard that it will be really impressive.

Yes, this is the goal. We want to bring everything to life and I want this to be a special moment to everyone, including myself and for Cyprus and for all Eurovision fans

So what’s the goal?

The goal.. I’ll be honest with you. We know that Eurovision is about uniting the world. It always does. The slogan this year is “United By Music”.It’s a competition, but my goal is to go out there and give absolutely everything, to perform from here, to perform with meaning and whatever will be after that will be. I’m just focused on walking off that stage and feeling proud of myself and hoping that everyone can feel that sense of proudness too.

One last question! Will Australia give 12 points to Andrew this year?

We gonna have to wait and see. But I must say I’m also feeling a lot from Australia too, which is super special to me. And we’ll find out soon.

In the end, we wished the Cypriot representative together with the audience watching the live show the best of luck, to make all Greeks proud with his performance.

In the video below you can watch the short interview to Andrew Lambrou from 18:26.

Tomorrow takes place the first rehearsal of Cyprus, and we will find out what the Cypriot delegation had been preparing all those months. Cyprus competes from spot number 6 of the Second Semi-Final on 11th of May.
