Spain: Eaea’s stage appearance will be magical and dynamic!

Strength, magic and power are the words that characterize what the Spanish team is preparing and what we will see on stage in Liverpool.

Speaking to Eurovision Space, Dalia Negra, the studio that has taken over the artistic direction of Eaea, mentioned what we will see from Blanca Paloma on the Eurovision stage. The said team has taken over the visuals and design that will be used in Spain’s appearance in the Grand Final on 13 May.

Eaea’s stage appearance will be different from what we saw at Benidorm Fest and these changes will mostly relate to the 2nd half of the show.

In general, the structure of Benidorm is maintained, at least in the first part. Towards the middle and the end is when there will be more details and changes…with respect to Benidorm.

In general, the team explained that in the appearance of Blanca Paloma on the Eurovision stage, they want to keep the basic elements that were also present at Benidorm Fest and upgrade them with all the possibilities that the stage in Liverpool can give.

The words that characterize Blanca Paloma’s appearance are:

Strength, magic, power, root, feeling, show and truth.

We remind you that Spain, as a member of the BIG-5, competes directly in the final on May 13 and claims the first prize after 54 years and after the 3rd place that Chanel achieved last year and rekindled the Spanish interest in the competition.

Poland: Blanka will have a new choreography team for Liverpool!

According to Polish media reports, Blanka will present a different stage performance in Liverpool, compared to the Polish national final, as the choreography of Solo will be done by a new team.

The polish broadcaster, TVP, has assigned the stage direction to a new choreographer for this year’s competition, replacing Agustin Egurrola, who has been in charge of the Polish entries in recent years, both at Eurovision and Eurovision Junior. It is worth noting that Agustin has worked with this year’s Polish representative in the contest, Blanka, on several occasions in the past, and was also a member of the jury for the national final, which placed her in first place, ensuring her victory.

The reasons for Agustin’s replacement have not been confirmed, and the name of the new choreographer for the Polish entry has not yet been announced.

Poland is set to appear in 9th place in the Second Semi-Final on May 11 in Liverpool:

Slovenia: Ljubljana “overflowed” during the last concert of Joker Out before Liverpool!

Just before departing for Liverpool and the final destination of their Eurovision journey, Joker Out, the band representing Slovenia in Eurovision 2023 gave a last big concert in downtown Ljubljana. The central square of the city was literally overflowed by the crowd attending, loudly singing along Joker’s Out entry, Carpe Diem. Joker Out, the most popular band in Slovenia, gave once more a really powerful performance, full of energy.

Joker Out proved once more how strong their live performances are and how capable the band is of elevating their song live. They, also, announced that they will also perform Carpe Diem live in Eurovillage.

Member of the band, Kris Guštin, noted that the sound on their video clip is not what they wanted and in their live performances on Liverpool, everything is going to work right.

Joker Out are all set for Liverpool after a long promo tour in 6 different countries. They are not stressful at all, instead they are hopeful that they will manage to bring Slovenia back to the Grand Final after 4 years.

The crowd left the concert super excited and after a long time, the local media seem to consider Eurovision as a hot topic.

Loreen: “There are things I had wanted to do in Stockholm that I think we are able to do in Liverpool!”

Over the last couple of months, uncertainty had emerged regarding the staging of the Swedish participation at the Eurovision Song Contest. Despite the fact that the Swedish national broadcaster SVT had known the EBU staging restrictions for months, there was not a clear answer by the Swedish delegation on whether they will make any changes on the staging of “Tattoo“, in order to comply with the EBU rules.

A few weeks ago, Loreen took part at an AMA event on Reddit, where she revealed that all the staging issues have been resolved, removing any uncertainty about her appearance at M&S Bank Arena. But up to now Loreen had never spoken openly about the Swedish delegation thoughts on the staging.

Loreen has opened up in an interview she had with Expressen today revealing that they had several crisis meetings with SVT regarding the technical specifications of the stage of M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool:

A new stage always comes with other technical prerequisites. I have, together with SVT as a united team, had meetings discussing what is possible and what is not. What can we improve and where do we back off?

As usual, she kept a mystery around her final staging, firing up uncertainty and speculations shadowing her “Tattoo” Liverpool performance once more:

I won’t tell if there is a ceiling or not, you will see that on Sunday. There are things you can do now because of the larger stage. The equipment is different.

Finally, she revealed that there have been many ideas that she backed off for her performance in Stockholm that can be implemented on stage in Liverpool:

There are things I had wanted to do in Stockholm that I think we are able to do in Liverpool that can turn out really powerful.”

Like the number, Loreen is secretive about exactly how her outfit will look on stage in Liverpool, but gave a hint of what to expect:

It is quite an extensive number and there are so many details. Always when you have to create something, you have to “kill your darlings”. Now that we’ve had some time, me and Fadi al Khoury, my designer, have the stuff we didn’t have time to test. It’s a cinematic number so there’s a lot you can do.

This is actually what she has mentioned in one of her TikTok videos, that was published a couple of weeks ago:

@loreenofficial Let’s talk about “The Outfit” A massive thanks to the one and only Fadi el Khoury, who made this happen ❤️🙏🏽 🫶🏽 #FashionTok #loreentattoo #designer #eurovision2023 ♬ Tattoo – Loreen

Even though the resolution is still not public, an answer will be given at Loreen’s stand-in rehearsal, while her first technical rehearsal is scheduled for this Sunday 4/30.
