Cyprus: Silia is impressive in her first rehearsals!

Earlier this week, Silia Kapsis began her final preparations for Eurovision 2024 in Los Angeles, under the supervision of her two choreographers Kelly Sweeney and Guy Groove. Already 70% of the choreography has been completed and the result is excellent.

Since the beginning of the week, Silia Kapsis has been in Los Angeles, starting intensive rehearsals for the choreography that she will present to us on stage in May at the Eurovision contest. The two acclaimed choreographers, Kelly Sweeney and Guy Groove, have worked with Silia before and have prepared something very impressive and demanding, which highlights the incredible talent of this year’s Cypriot representative in the contest.

We got a little taste of what the team has been up to so far and we can safely say that Silia’s performance is breath taking. She keeps the viewer’s gaze fixed on her from the first second, without at any point reminding of similar appearances we have seen in the competition.

The look will be young, modern, absolutely TV familiar. Besides, it was done after there was first the design of the leds and lights that will be used in the appearance of Silia, so that everything ties together harmoniously and creates a perfect result from all points of view.

Dimitris Kontopoulos and Ilias Kokotos are also in Los Angeles since yesterday, who arrived there to watch the rehearsals and their development.

Next week, Silia will go to Cyprus to give her first interviews to the country’s media, and then to shoot the Liar video clip. The director of the video clip will be Kostas Karydas, who was the director of Stefania’s Last Dance and Amanda’s Die Together.

With greater confidence and optimism, the Cypriot delegation, since everything they have planned for this year’s participation is slowly taking shape, continue their preparations for this year’s competition.

Marina Satti comes back from the USA, Silia Kapsis is on her way there | All the updates!

A trip to the United States of America appears to be a turning point for both Marina Satti and Silia Kapsis on their journey towards Malmö and the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. The Greek and Cypriot representative respectively are approaching the homestretch of their preparations for the upcoming Contest!

After the US, Marina Satti focuses on Malmö

Marina Satti, had visited the USA the previous days for business and personal affairs. She had the opportunity to refresh and get some rest, since from now on, her main focus turns to Eurovision exclusively.

As we enter the middle of January, her team in collaboration with the Greek national broadcaster (ERT) have concluded to the song which Marina will perform on the Eurovision stage. The clock is ticking and understandably, the next step is for the shootings of the music video to begin,

Both ERT officials and Marina’s coworkers keep a secretive profile, because they do not want to ruin the surprise leading up to the song reveal. The enthusiasm around the Greek entry is big and along with the country’s ninth place on the betting odds, the people working for Marina and her song are filled with optimism, with hopes of ending up on a high placement of the scoreboard, making last year’s low result a memory.

Silia Kapsis starts her preparations for Eurovision 2024 from Los Angeles

With a reversed course but the same goal, Silia Kapsis, who will wave the cypriot flag, begins her Eurovision journey. Today she departed from Sydney in order to arrive to Los Angeles, where, as we have previously informed you, she is going to rehearse the choreography she will present to the upcoming Contest. Her choreography is supervised and guided by Kelly Sweeney and Guy Groove.

Ilias Kokotos and Dimitris Kontopoulos are also expected to fly to Los Angeles during this week, in order to watch the rehearsals in person. Right after Los Angeles, Silia will go back to Cyprus, where she will get interviewed by the island’s media, as they are waiting for her anxiously. Then, she will shoot the music video for her song and lastly, she will stay in Athens, Greece until it is time for her to fly to Malmö in May.

Silia’s song title is already public and it is called “Liar”, by Dimitris Kontopoulos and Elke Tiel. However, its final form will not be the exact same as the leaked demo version. RIK, the cypriot broadcaster hold their hopes high, believing that Cyprus can achieve an even higher result than Andew Lambrou’s 12th place in Liverpool last year.

Cyprus: Silia Kapsis will sing “Liar” at Eurovision 2024!

As announced by the Cypriot broadcaster RIK-CyBc, the title of the song, with which Silia Kapsis will represent Cyprus at Eurovision 2024, is “Liar“. The song is composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos and the lyrics are written by ELKE, a well-known Dutch artist.

The production of the song was completed a few days ago in a recording studio abroad. The creative team is completely satisfied with the final result, while the excellent response the song has received from all parties involved has filled the Cypriot mission with enthusiasm.

Liar is a very contemporary pop dance track, with instrumentation and production that perfectly suits the explosive stage presence of Silia Kapsis.

Silia Kapsis is leaving for Los Angeles in the next few days to meet Kelly Sweeney and Guy Groove, the choreographers who will be in charge of her choreography, which will be seen on stage in May. Immediately afterwards she will return to Cyprus to shoot the official music video of the Cypriot entry.

After the shooting of the music video, Silia Kapsis will travel to Greece, where she will make appearances in local media. The song is expected to be released in late February/early March, of course through RIK. Silia will remain in Athens until May, carrying out her final rehearsals for the competition.

The Cypriot delegation continues with a well-organized plan, its preparations for Eurovision 2024, always keeping a low profile, but hoping that it will manage to impress and be even higher on the scoreboard than Andrew Lambrou, who placed 12th, having an excellent performance last year.

Cyprus: RIK and artistic team are in feverish preparations!

Τhe Cypriot team is doing some major preparations, as they want to have everything prepared ahead of time for the 68th Eurovision Song Contest, wanting to present the most competitive and professional entry possible, once more.

The Song is Reaching Its Final Form

The song with which Silia Kapsis wil represent Cyprus in Eurovision 2024 is almost ready to shine, as its just some steps before the Final Mixing. The previous weeks, Dimitris Kontopoulos finalised the production of the song, in a famous studio abroad, along his colleagues. The song has become even more dynamic, in order to make the most out of Silia’s dancing and vocal skills, and make the greatest impression on stage.

Kelly Sweeney and Guy Groove started making the Choreography

The famous choreographers that RIK selected to be on Silia’s side in the contest, have already received the song and are now in a creative phase. According to our information, they were excited by the song, and by having already worked with Silia in the past, they know what she is capable of, so they’re making a choreography of great demands, in order to make the track shine on stage.

Right after Christmas, Silia is going to Los Angeles, where she is going to stay for about a week, for the first rehearsals with her choreographers.

Impressive LEDs for Silia’s performance

Except for the choreography, the artistic team is preparing the LEDs that will accompany Silia’s performance in our screens. The concept is already in the making, and in the coming days, the Ukrainian company that also made the LEDs of Stefania and Amanda in the past, will be in charge of developing everything.

What we can say, as of now, is that the LEDs will be a major part in Silia’s performance and we are sure that even the most skeptical viewer will be mesmerised by the result.

What’s Coming next?

Immediately after her trip to Los Angeles, Silia Kapsis will return to Cyprus for some interviews, but also to shoot the music vdeo, which thiswill take place exclusively on the island this time. After the end of the filming of the music video, she is coming for a permanent stay in Greece, where she will make some more appearences in the media of our country. The song is expected to be released at the end of February/beginning of March, of course through RIK.

Silia will stay in Athens until the beginning of May, for the latest rehearsals until the contest.

The Cypriot delegation continues with a well-organized plan, their preparations for Eurovision 2024, always keeping a low profile, but hoping that it will manage to impress and find themselves even higher in the ranking table, higher than the 12th place, of the impressive Andrew Lambrou last year.
