Montenegro: RTCG will be broadcasting Eurovision 2023!

RTCG, the national broadcaster of the Montenegro is going to broadcast Eurovision 2023!

It was reported through the RTCG website, that all three shows of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 that takes place in Liverpool, the United Kingdom are going to be broadcast live to the viewers of Montenegro.

The Balkan nation decided to abstain from this years competition citing financial constrains caused mainly by the global energy crisis.

So far, the non-participating in Eurovision 2023 countries that have confirmed the broadcast of this year’s contest are the following:

  • Chile – Canal 13
  • Faroe Islands – KVF
  • Kosovo – RTK
  • Montenegro – RTCG
  • North Macedonia – MRT
  • Slovakia – Radio_FM
  • United States – Peacock

INFE Poll 2023: The results from Ukraine and Rest Of The World | Sweden is the big winner!

For the seventh consecutive year, the second fan network of the Eurovision Song Contest, the INFE Network, in collaboration with the website EscToday, is conducting the INFE Poll.

Network members in the 21 local fan clubs have already voted for their favorite songs from Eurovision 2023 and via ESCToday, they are announcing their scores. With the last two rankings being those of Ukraine and Rest Of The World. It should be noted that the Rest Of The World category includes fans of the competition from Costa Rica, Canada, Venezuela and United States.

Here are the results of INFE Ukraine:

  • Ireland – 1 point
  • Italy – 2 points
  • Spain – 3 points
  • France – 4 points
  • Czechia – 5 points
  • Austria – 6 points
  • United Kingdom – 7 points
  • Finland – 8 points

Sweden managed to win the INFE Poll 2023 with 212 points crowning Loreen with “Tattoo” the winner of tis year’s poll. In second place we meet Finland with Kaarjia with 164 points and then follows Norway with the dynamic Alessandra with 154 points. Rounding out the top five are France with “Evidemment” with 99 points and Austria with “Who The Hell Is Edgar?” with 97 points.

Faroe Islands: KVF will be broadcasting Eurovision 2023!

KVF, the national broadcaster of the Faroe Islands is going to broadcast Eurovision 2023!

It was reported through the KVF website, that all three shows of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 that takes place in Liverpool, the United Kingdom are going to be broadcast live to the viewers of the Faroe Islands.

Since 2010, the Faroese national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya (KVF) has been attempting to gain EBU membership and thus participate independently in the Eurovision Song Contest. However, KVF cannot obtain EBU membership due to the islands being a constituent part of the Danish Realm.

In late 2018, KVF showed renewed interest in joining the EBU and participating in the contest. According to the broadcaster, they are not excluded by the rule that only independent nations can join, and as a result, the Faroese broadcaster started internal discussions on applying for EBU membership and participating in the contest, and even organising a national final similar to the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix.

So far, the non-participating in Eurovision 2023 countries that have confirmed the broadcast of this year’s contest are the following:

Austria: Philipp Hansa is announced as the Austrian spokesperson for Eurovision 2023!

ORF has announced the Hitradio Ö3 presenter, Philipp Hansa as this year’s spokesperson that will announce the Austrian jury votes at the final show.

Philipp has been a presenter at the station since 2012 and has also starred in a number of independent films. He was the Austrian spokesperson for 2019, 2021 and 2022 contests.

Portugal: Mimicat films Eurovision 2023 Postcard!

The next representative to film her postacard is no other than Mimicat, the Portuguese representative at Eurovision 2023, who won Festival da Canção 2023, and will represent Portugal at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with “Ai Coração”.

Eurovision 2023: Turquoise Carpet takes place today!

The time is here! This afternoon at 16:00 the Opening Ceremony of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, will take place in Liverpool!

Just a day after the completion of the rehearsals, the 37 delegations that take part in the 67th Eurovision Song Contest, are going to attend the opening ceremony of this year’s contest. The Turquoise Carpet will take place in Saint George’s Hall right in the middle of Liverpool!

The Turquoise Carpet will be hosted by the Ukrainian commentator Timur Miroshnychenko and Sam Quek.

The contestants of this year’s Eurovision will commence their walk from the Walker Art Gallery and head towards Saint George’s Hall, where the official Opening Ceremony of the contest will take place.

Portugal: Listen to the acoustic version of “Ai Coração”!

Portugal is represented this year in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 by Mimicat and the song “Ai Coração” with which she won Festival da Canção 2023, the show through which this Iberian country chooses its participation.

Three days ago, Mimicat released the acoustic version of Portugal’s Eurovision 2023 entry in Liverpool, which you can watch in the video below.

Germany: Lord of the Lost released “Cha Cha Cha” cover!

Lord of the Lost, the band that represents Germany in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest, made another cover, this time for “Cha Cha Cha”.

The German band released and shared to all the music platforms this year’s Finnish entry “Cha Cha Cha”. This is their first cover that they shared to all the music platforms.

Germany as a Big 5 member is already qualified to the Grand Final of 13th of May, and is scheduled to compete in the second half.

Eurovision 2023: The running order allocation for the BIG 5 in the Grand Final!

The Big 5 had their second rehearsals today, while immediately after during the “Tea with Timur”, the edition of this year’s press conference, the draw was held for their appearance in the Grand Final on Saturday (13/5). First in line was Germany and the draws ended with the host nation, the United Kingdom.

  • Germany with Lord of The Lost and “Blood and Glitter”, will appear in the 2nd half.

  • France, with La Zarra and “Évidemment”, will appear in the 1st half.

  • Italy, with Marco Mengoni and “Due Vite”, will appear in the 1st half.

  • Ukraine with TVORCHI and “Heart of Steel”, is already set to perform 19th.
  • Spain with Blanca Paloma and “Eaea”, will appear in the 1st half.

  • The United Kingdom with Mae Muller and “I Wrote A Song”, is already set to perform 26th.

The Grand Final allocation for the countries that will qualify through the Semi Finals is set to be conducted in the press conference after each Semi Final.

RTK, the national broadcaster of Kosovo will broadcast live the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 which will take place in Liverpool, UK next week.

Kosovo’s national broadcaster will broadcast the Eurovision Song Contest to viewers across the country once again. RTK has been broadcasting the Eurovision Song Contest live for over a decade.
