Netta predicts the host city of Eurovision Song Contest 2025!

With only a few hours left until the announcement of the host city for Eurovision 2025, there is a tradition that has been built up over the last few years, and we couldn’t miss out.

We’re talking about Eurovision 2018 winner, Netta. Fans of the contest are now relying on her, to know which city won’t host the Contest, having predicted it wrong every time.

It is now a tradition to wait for Netta’s decision on the respective host city. Netta’s previous (wrong) predictions were:

  • For 2019 she predicted Jerusalem, in the end the host city was Tel Aviv
  • For 2021 she predicted Amsterdam, in the end the host city was Rotterdam
  • For 2022 she predicted Rome, in the end the host city was Turin
  • For 2023 she predicted Manchester, in the end the host city was Liverpool
  • For 2024 she predicted Stockholm, in the end the host city was Malmö

This year, a day before the official announcement, Netta posted a video announcing her prediction:

@netta This time I’m getting it right #eurovision ♬ original sound – Netta Barzilai

The two candidate cities are Geneva and Basel. With Netta choosing Geneva, it’s only natural that the Contest will take place in Basel. There are only a few hours left until the announcement, and let’s see if Netta guesses wrong for the sixth time!

Eurovision 2024: Netta predicts the host city wrong for yet another time!

A few hours ago, Malmö was crowned the host city of Eurovision Song Contest 2024, through the social media accounts of the contest

The final decision was made between four cities, alongside Stockholm and Gothenburg, both of them previous host cities.

Of course, the winner of Eurovision 2018, Netta, couldn’t miss on commenting on the selection of the city. We could say that it’s now become a tradition for Netta to predict (wrong) the host city of the next contest. Netta’s previous predictions are:

  • For 2019 she predicted Jerusalem, but in the the host city was Tel Aviv
  • For 2021 she predicted Amsterdam , but in the the host city was Rotterdam
  • For 2022 she predicted Rome, but in the the host city was Turin
  • For 2023 she predicted Manchester but in the the host city was Liverpool

Just some time after the announcement of Malmö as the host city, a short video that shows Netta, moments after her performance on the Grand Final, predicting the host city of Eurovision 2024, was posted on Twitter.

As we can all guess, Netta of course didn’t predict Malmö. Instead she put her bet on Stockholm.

As we can see, Netta predicted the host city wrong for the fifth time in a row. Will she be able to turn the tables next year?

Eurovision 2023: Netta “predicts” the host city | Will her quess be accurate this time?

Eurovision winner Netta Barzilai has predicted which city she thinks will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

Seven cities have been shortlisted as potential hosts for the Eurovision Song Contest – Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle – and speaking exclusively to Daily Star, former winner Netta predicted who the host city could be.

Netta – who won the contest for Israel in 2018 – revealed that she has a history predicting false the host city, saying: “I guess, it’s time to do this again.

In 2019 predicted Jerusalem as the host city – finally it was Tel Aviv.

In 2020 predicted Amsterdam as the host city – finally it was Rotterdam.

In 2021 predicted Rome as the host city – finally it was Torino.

So which city is her guess for the host city of Eurovision 2023:

“I’ll say Manchester. I’ll say that.”

However, Νetta gave her prediction with a warning, as she revealed that the city she always predicts as the host is usually incorrect.

“You know, I’m laughing because it’s a thing for me predict the city – because I always predict it wrong. When I won, I said ‘I love my country. Next year Jerusalem’ and then it was Tel Aviv. When Holland won, I said ‘we’re going to Amsterdam’ and then it was Rotterdam. When it was Italy, I said Rome and it wasn’t. It just isn’t the city every time.”
