Norway: Who are the favourites to win according to odds?
Tonight is Norway’s turn to select their representative for Eurovision 2022 in the Grand Final of the norwegian Melodi Grand Prix 2022 (MGP 2022). 10 finalists are vying for victory, which will lead them to Turin in May. So, with the norwegian final upon us, who are the bookmarkers’ favourites to win?
The odds
In a national final with a high level of songs, the Subwoolfer seem to be the biggest contender for the win, according to the odds. In the next places with much difference are Elsie Bay, Sofie Fjellvang and NorthKid.
The contestants
The running order of the MGP 2022 final is the following:
- Oda Gondrosen – Hammer of Thor
- NorthKid – Someone
- Anna-Lisa Kumoji – Queen Bees
- Farida – Dangerous
- Sofie Fjellvang – Made Of Glass
- Frode – Black Flowers
- Christian Ingebrigtsen – Wonder of the world
- Maria Mohn – Fly
- Subwoolfer – Give that wolf a banana
- Elsie Bay – Death of us
As opposed to the semi-finals, the grand final will be conducted with the presence of audience in the arena, while the result will come out based exclusively on televoting, after 3 rounds of voting. Firstly, the 4 songs with the highest score will pass to the second round. Thereafter, the scores of the first voting round will be erased and the public will vote again the 4 remaining songs. This time, the 2 songs with the highest amount of votes will be able to pass to the third voting round, the golden final. Then, the scores of the previous round will be erased once again and the public will choose, among the 2 remaining songs, the representative of Norway for Eurovision 2022.
The hosts of the show are Kåre Magnus Bergh, Annika Momrak και Mikkel Niva.
