American Song Contest: Second Qualifier Round’s results!

The second qualifier round of American Song Contest just finished with eleven more songs competing for four spots in the semifinals, with the outcome decided by the votes of the judges and the public vote. Oklahoma’s AleXa, Connecticut’s Michael Bolton and Puerto Rico’s Christian Pagán will join Rhode Island’s Hueston from the first qualifier round to the semi-finals, while Kentucky’s Jordan Smith will follow them as he won the second qualifier round’s jury!

The following artists competed in tonight’s second qualifying round:

1. Oregon: courtship. – “Million Dollar Smoothies”
2. Montana: Jonah Prill – “Fire It Up”
3. New York: ENISA – “Green Light”
4. Nebraska: Jocelyn – “Never Alone”
5. U.S. Virgin Islands: Cruz Rock – “Celebrando”
6. Kentucky: Jordan Smith – “Sparrow”
7. North Dakota: Chloe Fredericks – “Can’t Make You Love Me”
8. Kansas: Broderick Jones – “Tell Me”
9. Virginia: Almira Zaky – “Over You”
10. Maine: King Kyote – “Get Out Alive”
11. Ohio: Macy Gray – “Every Night”

At the beginning of the night, Snoop Dogg and Kelly Clarkson announced that Alexa from Oklahoma, Michael Bolton from Connecticut and Christian Pagán from Puerto Rico won the public’s support in the first qualifier round and will be in the semifinals.

The detailed results of the first qualifier round’s juries were as follows:

8. Iowa: Alisabeth Von Presley – “Wonder”
9. Wisconsin: Jake’O – “Feel Your Love”
10. Wyoming: Ryan Charles – “New Boot Goofin”
11. Indiana: UG skywalkin – “Love For My City”

Just before the end of the show, the winner of the second qualifier round’s jury was announced and therefore Jordan Smith from Kentucky will be in the semi-finals. Voting for those not selected by the jury will continue for two days until Wednesday. The public vote will determine the other three artists who will make it to the semi-finals. The semi-finalists will be announced each time at the start of next week’s show.
