The internal selection trhough which the Dutch public television will select their representative for Eurovision 2024, is almost over! In very few days we will learn the artist that will fly the flag of the Netherlands in Malmö. Three female artists, are still in the selection process, according to recent news.

The radioo station “Radio 538”, stated according to its exclusive info, that Karsu, Numidia and Ilse DeLange, are the three artists, from which the representative for the 68th Eurovision Song Contest will be selected.

Last Friday, according to reports from the radio station, seem to have sung their entries live in front of the jury that selects the song. This process took place in order to avoid repeating last year’s live performances of Mia Nicolai & Dion Cooper, that ended up in the Netherlands first non-qualification after eight years.

Moments after her name was mentioned, the manager of Ilse DeLange announced that popular singer she represents, will not take part in Eurovision.

“I think Ilse is mentioned every year as a possible candidate, but I can say with 100% certainty that she won’t compete this year.”

We remind you that Ilse DeLange was one half of The Common Linnets duet, who gave the Netherlands the second place in Eurovision 2014, with the song “Calm After the Storm”.

Both Numidia and Karsu, became known through their taking part in “Best Singers”. Numidia’s song for Eurovision 2024, is written by a former Eurostar, Douwe Bob who represented the Netherlands  in Eurovision 2016.
