Greece: The recording of the candidate songs has been completed | Stefania’s favourite song

The recording of the 5 candidate song for the Eurovision 2021 has been completed. Since yesterday, Stefania is being interviewed by the local media and on Sunday she is about to return to the Netherlands. The whole Dream Team (Dimitris Kontopoulos, ARCADE, Ilias Kokotos) is very satisfied with the result and according to our insights, both Stefania and the rest of the contributors have a preference towards a song which they believe it will stand out in the forthcoming Eurovision 2021.

All major tv channels interviewed Stefania, who at the moment cannot reveal any detail regarding the progress of her preparation.

What we can reveal to you though is that both Stefania and the artistic team behind her 5 candidate entries consider one of them as being superior to the other four.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with further information, but what is known is that the Dream Team never carries out the same concepts, which means that we should expect a totally different song to SUPERG!RL.

On the coming days the production of the  5 demos will take place, so the songs will be better shaped as far as their type and orchestration are concerned.

Of course, the final decision regarding the selection process and the song that will represent us (Greece) at the Eurovision 2021 will be taken by ERT, and after the consultation with Stefania’s team.

Stay tuned on Eurovision Fun for the latest news and developments regarding the Greek entry at the Eurovision 2021.

Dream Team: “No one needs this kind of cheap tricks” | EXCLUSIVE

A non-existent rumour has been circulating lately in Greece and Cyprus, involving a member of the Dream Team and unfortunately could create misunderstandings. With a statement, which is exclusively hosted by Eurovision Fun, the Dream Team clarifies the situation and sends a clear message in all directions, that such logics do not concern them and of course they will not tolerate the spread of such lies.

Specifically, what reached the ears of Dream Team, hence its reaction, is that an artist who is rumored to represent Cyprus in the upcoming competition, in a recent communication with a member of Dream Team was discouraged by a possible participation in Eurovision 2021.

We have been involved in the Eurovision Song Contest for 15 years and everyone knows that not only are we not competitive but on the contrary we have helped, completely non-profit, both the Greek and the Cypriot delegation in many cases. To claim that we contacted artists and asked them not to participate in the contest, apart from being childish, is also cunning, as it tries to create the impression of some kind of fear on our part, in order to strengthen a candidacy. No one needs this kind of cheap tricks and it would be good not to use them, because as our people say: lying has short legs.

Dream Team

We also contacted the side of the said artist, where we received a similar response, since as characteristically told us, there has been no been a communication with a member of the Dream Team lately. On the contrary, in the last communication that took place with Dimitris Kontopoulos, for reasons unrelated to Eurovision, the latter was encouraging the possibility of Eurovision.

Helena Paparizou: “I would return to Eurovision”

Helena Paparizou was invited today at Kalo Mesimeraki, a greek tv show, and revealed to the host of the show, Nikos Moutsinas, that she would like to return on the Eurovision stage. The only condition for her is the existence of a suitable song.

This statement, from the sole yet winner for Greece, adds fuel to the fire of those who claim every year that she’s returning to the contest. It is worth mentioning that such a statement comes only two days after she was declared the winner of Eurovision 2005 at the Eurovision Again Event on Twitter.

More specifically the exact words of hers were:

Had I had the right song, I would be taking part again. Just like the way it happened back in 2005 with My Number One. I remember myself home, sitting at the family table and half of my people were saying not to go to Eurovision, since I was at the beginning of my solo career. I slammed my arms on the table and I said “I’m already there, I’m going!”. I didn’t know, of course with which song. Mentally I was ready to take part to the competition.

It remains to be seen whether Helena’s statements will herald developments for her long-awaited return to Eurovision.

Until then you can enjoy her new song which was released a few hours ago.

Dimitri Stassos, Nikos Sofis and one more composer-surprise, set aim for Eurovision 2021 | EXCLUSIVE

Two more Greek composers who joined forces this year in the national final of Moldova, will continue their collaboration, aiming to reach Eurovision 2021, having in their company this time another composer-surprise, with a long history in the contest!

Greek-Swedish Dimitris Stassos and Germany-based Nikos Sofis, after their successful attempt last year in the national final of Moldova, decided to try again together, in another country, since as it is known, Moldova will be represented again by Natalia Gordienko.

The Greek duo of creators will have the contribution of another well-known composer, with history and success in the contest. His/her name is not yet announced, but according to our exclusive information, they have already prepared their proposal for Eurovision 2021.

A few words about D. Stassos- N. Sofis

Dimitris Stassos lives permanently in Sweden with an important career there. He has twice competed as a composer at Eurovision. For the first time with Spain in 2009 and La Noche Es Para Mi by Soraya and in 2012 with Greece and Aphrodisiac by Eleftheria Eleftheriou.

Nikos Sofis is a lyricist based in Germany and in recent years has participated in several national finals in various countries (Moldova, Belarus, Poland, Iceland, Switzerland, Romania, etc.). Eurovision 2021: Dream Team is ready for new adventures!

Philipp Kirkorov, as we told you, is in Elounda for his summer vacation, but that does not stop Dream Team from making plans for the next Eurovision song contest.

Dream Team ready for Eurovision 2021

Philipp Kirkorov, Dimitris Kontopoulos and Elias Kokotos are all together at Elounda Peninsula. In recent days, Natalia Gordienko, the representative of Moldova in Eurovision 2021, has been added to their company.

In a recent post, the Russian superstar states on behalf of the entire Dream Team, that the team is ready for new adventures in 2021:

Let us briefly present what adventures Philipp Kirkorov refers to:

Moldova

What is a given is that the Dream Team will be behind the participation of Natalia Gordienko with Moldova in Eurovision 2021. Kirkorov and Kontopoulos will write the song, while Fokas Evangelinos will edit the stage appearance. Of course Elias Kokotos will be the project manager of the whole effort.

Estonia

In Estonia we do not know if in 2021 the Dream Team will sign country’s participation. This year Uku Suviste, Ani Lorak’s contestant in The Voice, won the Eesti Laul with a song by Dimitris Kontopoulos. The director of the participation in Rotterdam would be Fokas Evangelinos. According to our information, the song of Uku Suviste in the next Esti Laul will have Dimitris Kontopoulos as composer again. If it wins the representation again, then the Dream Team will represent in Eurovision 2021 and Estonia.

Greece

In the case of Stefania, we do not have the active presence of Philipp Kirkorov, but the whole team will be behind the Greek participation for the second year. It is the second sure country that the Dream Team will take over at Eurovision 2021.

Another surprise country

It is known that every year the Dream Team receives proposals from various countries, but also artists, to undertake their participation in the competition. Thus, it is possible to see the Dream Team in another country, either as a direct assignment, or participating in a national final.

The Dream Team in its full composition, has not been found since 2007, when it participated for the first time in the competition, never outside the top ten of the standings. Since then they have represented Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, Azerbaijan, presenting participations that almost always star!

Will they be able to win for the first time, at Eurovision 2021?
