Miley Cyrus reacts to Måneskin cover

Måneskin covered the song Midnight Sky by Miley Cyrus.  The band who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 shared their cover on Instagram.  You can watch their rendition of Cyrus’ 2020 on the embedded video below:

However, the story does not end there.  Miley Cyrus herself saw the cover by Måneskin.  She was so flattered that she shared her reaction on Instagram.  The American pop singer shared the video on her Stories.  Moreover, she introduced the band as “her best friends”.

Is there a collaboration between Miley Cyrus and the Italian rock band?  Only time will tell!

Russia: Philipp Kirkorov in the spotlight – Zivert’s chances for Eurovision are reduced!

A big controversy broke out yesterday in the Russian showbiz with Russian pop singer and member of the Dream Team, Philipp Kirkorov and the producer of the singer Svetlana Loboda, Natella Krapivina, as the main actors.

The occasion was the appearance of Philipp Kirkorov with the influencer-rapper Dava Manukyan on the red carpet of the Muz Tv awards and the photo they uploaded, in which they are surrounded by half-naked men.

The specific post on Instagram was commented by Natella Krapivina, producer and director of Svetlana Loboda, writing “Horror show in every way. “In the old days in the Caucasus, such people were cut up and made into kebabs.”

Krapivina’s comment was answered by Phillip Kirkorov, posting a video on Instagram, in which he directly accused her of arrogance, toxicity and hypocrisy, as she claims that she is progressive, while at the same time she wishes people to die. In the same post he blamed her for the fact that a Loboda appearance had strong similarities with an older Beyonce appearance.

Philipp Kirkorov has received rave reviews from celebrities such as Little Big Sonya, Melovin and Natalia Gordienko.

The famous Russian singer Zivert, however, seems to have liked Krapivina’s initial comment, something that Dava Manukyan also noticed, accusing her on Instagram of hypocrisy, since she has collaborated with Kirkorov. At the same time, Dava asked Kirkorov “not to cooperate in the future with people who smile at them but want to send them to the barbecue.”

Therefore, although it was one of the most rumored names, Zivert’s chances of representing Russia at Eurovision 2022 in collaboration with the Dream Team seem to be significantly reduced.

Meanwhile, Krapivina announced the end of its cooperation with Loboda and its departure from Russian showbiz.

In a video she posted, she admitted that her comment was harsh, explaining that she was not addressing all members of the LGBT community but the “atalants promoted by Kirkorov” and the “circus of Russian showbiz”. In addition, she stated that she proves her tolerance every day and accused Philipp Kirkorov of distorting her comment, while he has not actively supported members of the LGBT community in Russia. He also referred to previous incidents with Kirkorov, the fact that Loboda is the producer of a great success and claimed that Kirkorov repeatedly asked Loboda to cooperate in recent months, but she refused.

Svetlana Loboda on the other hand stated that her views do not coincide with those of her (former) producer and apologized to anyone who was offended or hurt.

Meanwhile, Roskomnadzor (Russia’s Communications, Information and Media Supervision Service) said it would investigate Muz Tv Awards material for violations of a law banning the promotion of “non-traditional sex with minors”. during the day and without the sign 18+. It is the law that was passed in Russia in 2013, became known as the “law of gay propaganda” and was condemned by the international community.

Italy: Which arena has the most chances to host Eurovision 2022?

Immediately after the completion of this year’s contest, and the triumphant victory of Italy, 12 cities have already expressed their interest to host the 66th Eurovision Song Contest. United Kingdom: Eurofans calling for the Steps!

And may the Steps answer!

It is true that if you are a Eurovision fan and you have heard at least one song from the Steps you must have thought “They would do great in Eurovision”.

The Steps is a UK dance-pop group, consisting of five members, that was formed in 1997. The group has been around for 25 years (though between 2001 and 2011 when they were on a break). They have six studio albums and 23 singles! Trust me, you need to give a good listen to Steps.

Eurovision 2021 was a shock for the UK and the BBC. The county received a set of zero points (both from the audience and the international juries) and was placed last on the contest’s scoreboard for the second consecutive year.

But, we, Eurofans never give up (!) and this time we want Steps to represent the UK in Eurovision! (Is there a petition? where do I sign for this?)

According to one of the vocalists, Claire Richards, The pop group has already given a thought to Eurovision, but the singer didn’t give us more hints on whether they think about participating next year or not.

The singer said that we will not be able to know whether the UK will win the Eurovision for sure unless someone like Ed Sheeran or Adele enters. At the same time, the group is collaborating with international stars, like Michelle Visage, getting prepared for a massive UK tour and the release of their next album this September. Why wait for anyone else to snatch the trophy? Aren’t the Steps a good chance for the UK to get back in the competition and “Bring it home” for the first time since 1997?

Even though the Steps have been considered cheesy and bubblegum pop in the past, their 25-year-presence has proven their worth. The audience loves them, and we can’t wait for more of their music.

As Claire says, “I think Steps are timeless”.

C’mon BBC, make the right ‘Steps’.

Russia: Dream Team in Moscow | Preparations for Eurovision 2022 have begun!

Immediately after the end of this year’s contest, Philipp Kirkorov stated that in 2022 he will return to Eurovision for Russia. Dream Team does not seem to lose any time, since Dimitris Kontopoulos and Elias Kokotos are in Moscow, as according to our information, the trip for Eurovision 2022 has just begun!

Russia 1 channel will select the representative of the country for the next competition, so it is easy to understand that in all probability in the project for the next entry of Russia we will see the Dream Team involved. Philipp Kirkorov and Dimitris Kontopoulos will be the creators of the song, Fokas Evangelinos will be the artistic director, while Elias Kokotos will be the project manager.

Two third and one seventh place are the last places of Dream Team with the colors of Russia in the contest and they want this good series to continue.

Dimitris Kontopoulos and Elias Kokotos are in Moscow, for the first processes related to Eurovision 2022. Clearly what matters is the choice of the artist, but also of the song. The Russia 1 channel has proved that they are primarily interested in the television viewing of the competition in the country, so we should not rule out the choice of a big name for Russia next year.

Russia was represented this year by Manizha with the Russian Woman, occupying the ninth place in the grand final:

Who do you like to see representing Russia next year in Italy?

Moldova: Dream Team’s response to accusations about the result of televoting!

In response to the Aftonbladet article, which was republished on various websites, Dream Team responded. Dream Team’s spokesman referred to all the allegations in the article, such as manipulating the outcome of televoting in small countries so that Natalia Gordienko could get as many votes as possible and avoid a bad outcome, as betting companies had predicted.

We have proved our love for this competition for many years. Why would we suddenly start handling telephone lines only in the semifinals and not in the finals? These categories are outrageous. In Portugal, for example, there is a large diaspora from Moldova. Greece usually supports our entries.

By no means are countries like France or the Czech Republic small enough to influence televoting. Natalia Gordienko’s song became a hit in Russia and was played on Russian radio channels throughout Europe.

We should not be surprised if the Russian Diaspora, for example, in Latvia and Estonia voted for it in the semifinals when there was no Russian artist to vote for.

Dream Team

We remind you that Natalia Gordienko’s Sugar took 13th place in the grand final, but took 12th place in the televoting, adding another entry to those of Dream Team, which go better in the public vote than the juries.

Helena Paparizou: “Cyprus made me a proposal for Eurovision 2021”!

In the show Tet A Tet that is currently broadcast on Alpha Cyprus and presented by Tassos Tryfonos, the only winner of the Eurovision song contest for Greece, Helena Paparizou, made a very important revelation. According to her, RIK proposed to her to represent Cyprus in the contest this year as well, but she considered that it was not her time this time either.

Helena Paparizou made this revelation a few minutes ago, on the air of the show Tet A Tet, on Alpha Cyprus. The popular singer revealed to Tassos Tryfonos when asked about the Eurovision contest and if she would ever think of returning, that RIK honored her this year as well, proposing her to represent Cyprus in Eurovision 2021, which will be held in a few days at Rotterdam!

The popular Greek artist clarified that the proposal she accepted was not about El Diablo, but another song. After a mature thought, Helena responded negatively to RIK, considering that this year was not her time either.

We remind you that in 2018, RIK had initially addressed Helena Paparizou, in order to interpret Fuego in the competition. Although she entered the process to record it, she finally refused, we would say shortly before the agreement was finalized. The song, after a short stop in Tamta, finally ended up with Eleni Foureira, with the triumphant ending that we all know.

Helena Paparizou never stopped being interested in the contest, as she stated. She would represent either Greece, Cyprus or Sweden and any decision she made would always have to do with the song.

Helena Paparizou spoke with the warmest words about both Elena Tsagrinou and Stefania, predicting that both will have a very good result.

Update:

Although Helena Paparizou did not mention it in her interview, the song that was suggested to her by RIK was Colors that competed in the Croatian national final with Bernarda.

Would you like to see Elena return to the competition? If yes with which country?

Stay tuned to Eurovisionfun for all the news related to our favorite contest!
