Moldova: Dream Team’s response to accusations about the result of televoting!

In response to the Aftonbladet article, which was republished on various websites, Dream Team responded. Dream Team’s spokesman referred to all the allegations in the article, such as manipulating the outcome of televoting in small countries so that Natalia Gordienko could get as many votes as possible and avoid a bad outcome, as betting companies had predicted.

We have proved our love for this competition for many years. Why would we suddenly start handling telephone lines only in the semifinals and not in the finals? These categories are outrageous. In Portugal, for example, there is a large diaspora from Moldova. Greece usually supports our entries.

By no means are countries like France or the Czech Republic small enough to influence televoting. Natalia Gordienko’s song became a hit in Russia and was played on Russian radio channels throughout Europe.

We should not be surprised if the Russian Diaspora, for example, in Latvia and Estonia voted for it in the semifinals when there was no Russian artist to vote for.

We remind you that Natalia Gordienko’s Sugar took 13th place in the grand final, but took 12th place in the televoting, adding another entry to those of Dream Team, which go better in the public vote than the juries.

Six countries will shoot Live On Tape next weekend in Sofia. As we first revealed to you on March 15, the production company that hosted the Junior Eurovision 20215 in Bulgaria, has prepared a scene with high standards and specifications for the video of the live on tape, the live show that the EBU is asking of everyone the participants of this year’s contest.

The six countries that will be in Sofia

The six participants who will travel to Bulgaria over the weekend to shoot the live on tape are as follows:

  • Bulgaria with Victoria and Growing Up Is Getting Old
  • Greece with Stefania and Last Dance
  • Cyprus with Elena Tsagrinou and El Diablo
  • Croatia with Albina and Tick-Tock
  • Malta with Destiny and Je Me Casse
  • Moldova with Natalia Gordienko and Sugar

What is Live On tape?

According to what was announced, all participating broadcasters were asked to record a live performance of their participation in their country or somewhere else. This recording will be delivered before the contest and will take place in a studio. The recording will take place in real time (as it would in the Contest) without making changes to the vocals or any part of the show itself after the recording.

There will be freedom in the missions, to present as they consider their entries better, but instructions will be given which will ensure the fairness and integrity of the competition. There will be no audience and the recording should be unique and not be published before the event in May.

Delegations are allowed to use similar technical capabilities and dimensions that would be available on stage in Rotterdam, but are also free to choose a more limited production facility. Video recordings must not contain augmented or virtual reality, overlays, confetti, drone shots, water, color use or green screen.

From a historic place, the Crave Theater in Moscow  and with an impressive event, will be the first official presentation of the video clip of Sugar, Moldova’s entry in Eurovision 2021, next Thursday, March 4.

Recently, through her personal Instagram account, Natalia Gordienko revealed that we will see for the first time the video clip of her song in this year’s contest, Sugar, on Thursday, March 4th.

In fact, for Sugar’s debut, she organizes a brilliant event. Specifically at the Grand Theater in Moscow and with invited important and popular eurostars, such as Sergey Lazarev, Ani Lorak, Polina Gagarina, the official presentation will take place. At the event, of course, we will watch the host Natalia Gordienko, interpreting all the participations of the Dream Team in the contest.

Moldova: Producer of a Eurovision winning song predicts top3 for Natalia Gordienko!

The Dream Team is in the final stretch for Moldova‘s entry with Natalia Gordienko in Eurovision 2021. As we informed you in our article on June 23, Natalia Gordienko is going to represent Moldova at Eurovision 2021! Now we have the official confirmation from the country’s public television, TRM.

The members of the TRM Organizing Committee for the European Song Contest met to decide on the conditions under which Moldova is able to choose its representative at Eurovision 2021, under the conditions of the pandemic and the restrictions.

Due to COVID-19, they decided not to hold a national final this year, as the members of the Organizing Committee noted that only the creative staff and the minimum technical staff required to organize the pre-selection show exceed the limit of 50 people imposed.
