Israel: Listen to “Hurricane” by Eden Golan for Eurovision 2024!

After submitting two songs recorded by Eden Golan, both of which were rejected by the EBU regarding their lyrics, KAN, the Israeli public brodcaster decided to change the lyrics of their initial choice, “October Rain”, and re-submit it for Eurovision 2024!

The song which is now called “Hurricane” was approved by the EBU a few days ago, and Israel is ready to fly to Malmö. After winning HaKokhav Haba, Eden Golan begun recording songs for the contest and she finally has her song for Eurovision!

The song is based on the melody of October Rain” and is composed by Stav Begar (one of the composers of “Toy”), alongside Avi Ohion and the HaKokhav Haba jury, Keren Ples.

Earlier today, through a special show, Eden Golan presented the song she is going to perform in Eurovision 2024.

Who is Eden Golan:

Eden Golan is a Russian-Israeli singer. She was born in Kfar Saba, Israel in 2003. When she was six years old, she and her parents moved to Moscow for permanent residence due to her father’s work, where she spent twelve years.

She has previously taken part in the Russian national final for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015, and afterwards in the Russian television competition “The Voice Kids”.

She took part in HaKokhav Haba (Special Edition) in order to represent Israel in Eurovision 2024, and she was one of the favourites right from the beginning, being the only contestant who received 100% of the votes in the audition.
