France: Tonight is the final of C’est Vous Qui Decidez 2022!

After a period of mystery, the French public broadcaster is holding tonight Eurovision France: C’est Vous Qui Décidez 2022, through which the French representative at Eurovision 2022 will be selected.

Twelve artists will take part in tonight’s French national final. These artists are:

C’est Vous Qui Decidez 2022 will take place in two rounds. In the first round, the twelve artists will perform their entries. The public vote will then determine the five artists who will qualify for the second round. The jury will select another performer to participate in the second round. In the second round the voting will be 50/50 and the winner will represent France in Eurovision 2022!

Denmark: Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2022 final tonight!

The big day for the Danish Eurofans has arrived. Denmark will choose its representative at Eurovision 2022 tonight, with the grand final of the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2022 taking place in Herning.

Eight artists participate in the final of the Danish national selection. The winner of the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2022 will represent the Nordic country in Turin.

These artists are:

  2. Conf3ssions – Hallelujah
  3. Der Var Engang – En skønne dag
  4. Fuld Effekt – Rave Med De Hårde Drenge

The final result will be judged exclusively by the Danish television audience, which will choose the big winner of the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2022.

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will be presented for the second consecutive year by Tina Müller and Martin Brygmann.

Romania: Tonight the final of the Selecţia Naţională 2022!

Three weeks after the semi-final of the Selecţia Naţională 2022, Romania chooses its representative at Eurovision 2022 tonight.

Ten artists are taking part in tonight’s final of the Romanian national selection, with the big winner representing Romania in the 66th Eurovision Song Contest.

The contestants

The ten artists participating in tonight’s final of the Selecţia Naţională 2022 are:

  1. Andrei Petruş – Take me
  2. Alex Parker & Erik Frank & Bastien – All This Love
  3. Gabriel Basco – One night
  4. VANU – Never give up
  5. Petra – Ireligios
  6. MOISE – Guilty
  7. Cream, Minodora, Diana – România mea

  9. Dora Gaitanovici – Ana
  10. WRS – Llamame

The final result will be determined solely by the preference of a jury, with the voting of the television audience having a symbolic character.

The presenters of Selecţia Naţională 2022 will be Eda Marcus and Aurelian Temișan. The team of presenters will be completed by Ilinca Băcilă, representative of Romania at Eurovision 2017, who will be with the contestants in the Green Room.

Sweden: Fifth Semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2022 takes place tonight!

Melodifestivalen 2022: act five! Fifth semifinal today for the selection process of Sweden’s participation in Eurovision 2022. As is known, five semifinals and the grand final will keep us company until March 12, when we will have the official selection of Sweden’s representative in Eurovision 2022.

In tonight’s fifth semifinal, eight entries claim the last two tickets to the final.

Oscar Zia will be the presenter of all six shows of Melodifestivalen 2022.

Tonight’s fifth semifinal, like all other shows, will be held in Stockholm due to the outbreak of the Omicron variant in Sweden. The venue for the second semi-final of Melodifestivalen is the Friends Arena, which has hosted the finals of the Melodifestivalen from 2013 to 2020.

Iceland: Second Söngvakeppnin 2022 Semi-Final tonight!

Second semi-final today for Söngvakeppnin 2022, the process through which Iceland will choose its participation for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.

Live from RVK studios, the land of ice and fire will select two more finalists who will get the magic ticket to the grand final of Söngvakeppnin 2022.

The 5 candidate songs will appear in the following order:

  1. Hanna Mia and the Astrotourists – “Séns með þér” (See you soon) / “Gemini”
  2. Katla – “Þaðan af” (From there) / “Then again”
  3. Markéta Irglová – “Mögulegt” (Possible) / “Possible”
  4. Reykjavikurdaetur – “Tökum af stað” (Let’s get started) / “Turn this around”
  5. Suncity and Sanna – “Hækkum í botn” (Let’s go to the bottom) / “Keep it cool”

The winners of the night will emerge after a combined vote of both the jury and the TV audience. A total of 4 songs will compete in the grand final (two from each semifinal), while the country’s public channel has the right to choose one more song.

The Festival da Canção 2022 starts tonight, through which Portugal will choose its representative at Eurovision 2022.

The Portuguese national final will take place on three different nights: two semifinals on March 5th and 7th and the grand final on March 12th.

Ten artists are participating in tonight’s first semifinal of the Festival da Canção 2022. These artists are:

Serbia: The results of the second semi-final of “Pesma za Evroviziju 2022”!

Serbia has started the search for its representative and participation for Eurovision 2022. “Pesma za Evroviziju 2022”, as the Serbian national final is now called, consists of two semi-finals. A few minutes ago the second semi-final was completed, with 9 contestants qualifying for the next stage, the grand final, on Saturday 5 March.

The hosts of the show were Dragana Kosjerina and Jovan Radomir, being supported by Kristina Radenković and Stefan Popović in the Green Room.

The eighteen songs competing tonight for a place in Saturday’s final were:

The result was determined 50% by the jury and 50% by the televoting community. However, the jury of both semi-finals, according to RTS, will remain anonymous.

  2. Orkestar Aleksandra Sofronijevića (performing 2nd on the Grand Final)

The Grand Final will be transmitted by RTS tomorrow, Saturday 5th March, at 21:00 CET.

Germany: Malik Harris will represent the Big 5 country in Eurovision!

The German national selection for Eurovision 2022 took place in March 4.  German broadcaster ARD returned to a national selection for Eurovision after two years.  Six acts competed in Germany 12 points.  In the end it was Malik Harris who won the competition and will represent Germany in Turin.

The national final started at 21.00 CET.  Eurovision winners Conchita Wurst, Jane Comerford and Jamala performed during the final.  A combined radio voting and televote decided the winner.

The Contestants

The six candidates competing in Germany 12 points were:

  2. Maël & Jonas – “I Swear To God“
  3. Eros Atomus – “Alive“
  4. Emily Roberts – “Soap“
  5. Felicia Lu – “Anxiety“

During their performances, Malik Harris and Eros Atomus expressed support for Ukraine.

The results are based 100% on the vote of the public.  Since February 28, listeners of the 9 ARD radio stations voted for their favorite song online.  TV viewers voted during the show.  The vote of the radio listeners and tv viewers represented 50% of the final result each.

Montenegro: Listen to “Breathe”, Vladana Vučinić’s song for Eurovision 2022!

Montenegro returns to Eurovision after two years of absence, since 2020. The country chose their representative for Eurovision 2022 internally and they picked Vladana Vučinić to sing for them in Turin!

The singer will represent Montenegro with the song “Breathe”!

The song was revealed today in the TV show “Montenegro, Dodici Punti” with special guests, Montenegro’s past representatives. Namely, Knez, Luka Vojvodić, Tamara Vujačić, Nina Zizic and North Macedonia’s representative for Eurovision 2022, Andrea.

The song will be a dynamic ballad with a clear message, dedicated to Vladana’s mother. As Vladana said, the song is emotional, dynamic and melancholic.

The creator’s team includes Vladana herself as well as the well known songwriter Darko Dimitrov with many successful songs in the contest.

Who is Vladana Vučinić?

Vladana was born in 1986 in Podgorica, Montenegro. Vladana showed interest in music at an early age as her grandfather, Boris Nizamovski was the Head of the Association of Stage Artists of North Macedonia and manager of the Macedonian ensemble Magnifico. Vladana has a primary and secondary education in music, focusing on music theory and opera singing. She graduated with a degree in journalism from the Montenegro’s State Faculty of Political Science.

Cyprus: The announcement of the song on March 9!

Through Eurovisionfun you read first, that George Papadopoulos is among the creators that will be announced by RIK for its participation in Eurovision 2022, the news seems to be confirmed by all media, while we now know the date of the song’s announcement.

According to exclusive information of lifeNewscy, the recording of the song took place a few days ago in Athens, where Andromachi, who will represent Cyprus, entered the studio and completed the recording of the song.

The songwriter Alex Papaconstantinou was also there. The song of Cyprus has strong ethic elements, which as lifeNewscy knows, will be enriched with bouzouki, to have a more “Greek” sound!

The lyrics are signed by George Papadopoulos, while the word “Ela” dominates.

The shooting for the video clip of the song will take place on Saturday, March 5, which will be shown for the first time on Wednesday, March 9, through the show “Ola ston Aera” by RIK.
