According to various Albanian media reports, the final version of Shaj, revealed by Arilena, will be made public with the video clip after the Head of Delegation meeting next Monday, March 9th.

The final version is highly radio without losing the identity the song originally had. Finally, it was emphasized that Shaj’s revamp will be mainly in English, just like the original version Arilena had taken before FiK58.

Below you can see photos of Arilena from the video clip shooting:

But until we see the video clip and listen to the final version of Albanian entry, let’s recall Arilena’s appearance on FiK 58:

Romania: Natalia Gordienko as a guest at the national final

A last minute news report. Yesterday, the grand winner of the Moldovan national final, Natalia Gordienko, will appear as a guest at the Romanian national final, which is being held tonight in Buzau.

The relations between Romania and Moldova are well known, since it would not be an exaggeration to say that they are the same nation. Each year the Moldovan representative appears in the Romanian national final or vice versa, depending on who will be ahead of time.

Not long ago we confirmed that Natalia Gordienko would indeed be in Buzau and interpret “Prison” for her Romanian fans.

Along with Natalia Gordienko will be Loreen, Ulrikke representing Norway in this year’s contest, as well as Cypriot representative  Sandro, who will present a new version of Fuego and Replay, specially prepared for this!

You can watch the Romanian national final at 20.00 CET time. by clicking HERE.

Lithuania: The Roop dethroned Netta from YouTube top

Confirming their potential since their appearance as Lithuania’s representatives, The Roop has accomplished in just a few days something very important in the forerunner of this year’s contest. In the video posted on the official YouTube channel of the contest, “On Fire” topped the channel’s monthly views! Not a simple achievement, considering that for two years the top was Netta’s affair! Every month, on every top, for two consecutive years, “Toy” was first on the Eurovision channel. After two years where no song has managed to topple it, The Roop in just two weeks has reversed the current situation.

This year’s top ten entries also include:

Norway – Ulrikke – Attention (10th place)
Ukraine – Go_A – Solovey (9th place)
Australia – Montaigne – Don’t Break Me (7th place)
United Kingdom – James Newman – My Last Breath (5th place)
Poland – Alicja Szemplińska – Empires (3rd place)

In addition to these 6 entries for this year’s Eurovision Top Ten, both outgoing winners and two outgoing finalists:

Cyprus – Eleni Fouriera – Fuego (8th place)
Italy – Mahmood – Soldi (6th place)
Netherlands – Duncan Laurence – Arcade (4th place)
Israel – Netta – Toy (2nd place).

Eurovision: Dimitris Kontopoulos equaled the composer’s record with most entries in the same contest

Dimitris Kontopoulos wrote his own story yesterday, after equaling Borislav Milanov’s record of 2017 with his three entries in the same contest last night.

He equalized the composer’s record with most entries in the same competition
Dimitris Kontopoulos has three songs in this year’s competition. Greece’s SUPERG! RL, Moldova’s Prison and Estonia’s What Love Is. This is something that happened once again during the contest.

In 2017, Borislav Milanov was the composer, among other co-creators of course, of the holdings of Serbia, FYROM and Bulgaria. Of course, only one of his three songs made it to the finals. Particularly the Bulgarian one, “Beautiful Mess”, which finally won the second place.

In order to prevent the malevolent ones that are abundant this year, Dimitris Kontopoulos typically (although he has rights reserved normally), does not sign the Estonian song as a composer, but as a producer. This was done so that there would be no problem with the rules of Eesti Laul, since the candidate songs should have at least 50% Estonian creators. So, Sharon Vaughn, who is an American citizen and composer Uku Suviste himself, seems a regular lyricist.

Record for Sharon Vaughn. Will D. Kontopoulos write history in Rotterdam?

The record holder is lyricist Sharon Vaughn, as no lyricist in the history of the competition has ever signed three entries in the same competition!

However, Dimitris Kontopoulos is also expected to write history, but to be sure, he will write a new story, since if all three of his entries go to the final, he will be the only composer in the history of the competition with three songs in the final!

Recall that last year John Lundvik was a composer for Sweden and the United Kingdom, as Thomas G: Son has previously been a composer for two.

In stubbornness, the Dream Team and Dimitris Kontopoulos, in particular, remain dynamic and successful in Eurovision, continuing to enjoy the recognition and recognition of many countries!

The heart of Romanian (and not only) Eurofans today is beating in Buzau as the country’s national final, “Selecția Națională”, takes place. This is not a national final in which the artist will be chosen, but a final one regarding the choice of the country’s participation in Rotterdam. After all, as has been known for a few weeks, Roxen will represent the Balkan country at 65th Eurovision.

This completes the timetable set by Romanian television from the outset, which provided:

-the artist’s announcement to travel to Rotterdam – February 11th
-the publication of the candidate tracks – 21 February
t-he conduct of the national final, Selecția Națională – 1 March

Roxen is part of the record label, Global Records, with whom TVR will work to select the song to represent the country in May in Rotterdam. Then, a camp was held in which the best Romanian artists and composers created songs for the 20-year-old singer.

From this camp, 5 songs were selected to compete in the national final. The songs were selected by experts from a variety of relevant professional backgrounds (composers, songwriters, musicologists, broadcasters). These experts took into account criteria such as sound, originality, style difference and the message of the song.

During the national final, the 5 songs will be performed by Roxen. The winning song will be decided by 50% of the judges and 50% of the viewers. In the event of a tie, the viewers’ votes will prevail.

The songs
The 5 most noteworthy songs Roxen will perform live during tonight’s finale are:

1. “Beautiful Disaster”

2. “Cherry Red”

3. “Colors”

4. “Alcohol You”

5. “Storm”

Sandro, representing Cyprus at Eurovision 2020, will perform as a guest at the national final! However, it will not perform “Running”, since the video clip of the song will not be ready by then.

Moldova: Listen “Prison”‘s final version | Watch the video clip!

Only six hours left until Moldova’s live audition and the national selection of the song that will represent the country at the 65th Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

The final version of Natalia Gordienko’s song Prison was released today, the video clip of which was made in Greece. The song is signed by Dimitris Kontopoulos and Philip Kirkorkov, while lyrics by Sharon Vaughn.

“Dream Team” says about their participation in the moldovan selection with Prison and Natalia Gordienko:

Natalia Gordienko is one of the most popular artists in Moldova and the only singer that has managed to win the two most important festivals in Eastern Europe : Slavianski bazaar and New Wave.

In 2008, when she was just 21 years old, she received the prestigious “National artist” award for her contribution in promoting Moldova around the world. At the National selection Natalia Gordienko is participating with the song “Prison”, a powerful Avant Garde ballad with strong ethnic elements.

The song describes the extreme emotions in a passionate relationship. The track is composed by the “dream team” Phillip Kirkorov and Dimitris Kontopoulos while the lyrics are written by Sharon Vaughn. In case Natalia Gordienko wins the national selection, Fokas Evangelinos is going to be the creative director of her stage presentation in Eurovision.

The video clip of the song was shot in Athens and shows the way Natalia is trying to escape from the “prison” of her passionate lover.

Dream Team for Prison.

Prison is a very different type of music from what Natalia Gordienko has done so far. She says it was a dream of a lifetime to be back on the Eurovision stage, having already participated in 2006 as a duo at that time, of course, but had not attempted so far, as she wanted to be with the ‘Dream Team’.

This will be the second time the ‘Dream Team’ will represent Moldova, if Natalia wins in tomorrow’s Moldova’s national selection. In 2018, the Greek- Russian team was behind DoReDoS, where the song My Lucky Day put the country in the 10th place with 209 points.

Lithuania: 60 songs submitted|The dates and presenters of Eurovizijos Atranka 2020

Lithuania’s public broadcaster has decided to make several changes, notably shortening the duration of Eurovizijos Atranka 2020, the country’s national final for Eurovision. Every Saturday from 11 January until 15 February, we will be watching the efforts of artists who will attempt to bring Lithuania its first Eurovision contest victory.

36 songs will compete at Eurovizijos Atranka 2020

60 songs have been submitted to Lithuanian public television for Eurovision 2020. Of these, a panel has selected the 36 best which will participate in Eurovizijos Atranka 2020. The structure of the national selection has not been announced so far. How many qualifiers and semifinals will we have?

What we do know, however, is that Eurovizijos Atranka 2020 will consist of six shows, with the last of course final, on 15 February. So it is possible to have four qualifiers, one semifinal and one final.

But we also know the presenters. For the second consecutive year, Eurovizijos Atranka 2020 will be presented by Gabrielė Martirosian and Giedrius Masalskis. But Ieva Zasimauskaitė, who in 2018 represented Lithuania with When We Great Old, taking the twelfth position, will join them . Ieva will be the presenter of the Green Room.

With changes to Eurovizijos Atranka 2020

In addition to the shorter duration of Eurovizijos Atranka 2020, Lithuanian public television has made other changes to its national selection show. The jury will not be in another studio nor judge the songs, just comment in general. Also, the results of the televoting during the show will only be seen at the end.

Also, each artist could submit a single song. Lithuanian public television has pledged to raise funds to finance its participation in Rotterdam.

This year, in Tel Aviv, Lithuania, Jurijus represented the country with “Run With The Lions”, winning 11th place in the second semifinals, failing to qualify.

Elvana Gjata: “The two points I received will not stop me giving love”

Two days have passed since Arilena’s victory in FiK58, as the two Albanian judges rated Elvana very low and denied her victory. The popular singer who failed to win, though she was the big favorite via her Instagram profile, made a statement that while wishing Arilena good luck, she does not hesitate to show her bitterness and annoyance at the Albanian judges’ ratings.

“I refuse to speak at such moments but this time I have to do it…

Arilena … you’re not alone in anything, I really wish you good luck. I want to thank my fans and my new European fans for supporting me since the release of “MeTana”. I saw the polls, I saw you sing and dance to my song every day, I saw you in the arena with your hands up. I heard you all scream under my name all over Pristina, and I heard it last night in Tirana like never before.

My heart is full of joy! I worked hard and will work until my last breath. The job never destroyed me, with or without command. Thank you very much to the European judges who voted for me the most. Not even Mikaela’s 2 points can stop giving me love.

Accept life with everything

Enjoy life with everything”

Elvana’s announcement came hours after Alketa Vesjiu, the festival’s presenter, made a statement, which also shifted her arrows to Mikaela’s rating and the 2 points she gave to Me Tana. We remind you that Arilena won by only 3 points difference, so the 2 that she received from Mikaela was essentially what deprived her of her victory.
