Russia at Eurovision 2022

Russia: Philipp Kirkorov is not included in Ukraine’s “Black List” anymore

Five days ago, Ukraine’s goverment has decided to include the Russian Pop Star Philipp Kirkorov in the “Black List” and ban him from entering the country, among other 200 Russian artists.

However, the Russian artist has made an instagram post to reasure his fans and followers that his name is not included in the list anymore and his fans will be able to keep on listening to his music.

I’m sending a piece of my heart and soul to every fan I have in Ukraine. I’m feeling very happy and proud with with the unexpected announcement from government authorities.

At the weekend, Ukraine’s government authorities, has removed my name from “Black List”. Thank you all for your support and your love.

We all have the right to decide what to watch or what to listen to, all by ourselves. And you proved that music and politics shouldn’t be related.

You proved to the whole world that your voice, the voice of the people, is much more powerful than every goverment agency. You showed a friendly face to Russia and I’m really hoping that the two countries will be friendly and show respect to each other. Maybe, there is still hope that the whole situation between us will be improved

Russia: Dream Team in Moscow | Preparations for Eurovision 2022 have begun!

Immediately after the end of this year’s contest, Philipp Kirkorov stated that in 2022 he will return to Eurovision for Russia. Dream Team does not seem to lose any time, since Dimitris Kontopoulos and Elias Kokotos are in Moscow, as according to our information, the trip for Eurovision 2022 has just begun!

Russia 1 channel will select the representative of the country for the next competition, so it is easy to understand that in all probability in the project for the next entry of Russia we will see the Dream Team involved. Philipp Kirkorov and Dimitris Kontopoulos will be the creators of the song, Fokas Evangelinos will be the artistic director, while Elias Kokotos will be the project manager.

Two third and one seventh place are the last places of Dream Team with the colors of Russia in the contest and they want this good series to continue.

Dimitris Kontopoulos and Elias Kokotos are in Moscow, for the first processes related to Eurovision 2022. Clearly what matters is the choice of the artist, but also of the song. The Russia 1 channel has proved that they are primarily interested in the television viewing of the competition in the country, so we should not rule out the choice of a big name for Russia next year.

Moldova: Dream Team’s response to accusations about the result of televoting!

In response to the Aftonbladet article, which was republished on various websites, Dream Team responded. Dream Team’s spokesman referred to all the allegations in the article, such as manipulating the outcome of televoting in small countries so that Natalia Gordienko could get as many votes as possible and avoid a bad outcome, as betting companies had predicted.

We have proved our love for this competition for many years. Why would we suddenly start handling telephone lines only in the semifinals and not in the finals? These categories are outrageous. In Portugal, for example, there is a large diaspora from Moldova. Greece usually supports our entries.

By no means are countries like France or the Czech Republic small enough to influence televoting. Natalia Gordienko’s song became a hit in Russia and was played on Russian radio channels throughout Europe.

We should not be surprised if the Russian Diaspora, for example, in Latvia and Estonia voted for it in the semifinals when there was no Russian artist to vote for.

We remind you that Natalia Gordienko’s Sugar took 13th place in the grand final, but took 12th place in the televoting, adding another entry to those of Dream Team, which go better in the public vote than the juries.

In fact, for Sugar’s debut, she organizes a brilliant event. Specifically at the Grand Theater in Moscow and with invited important and popular eurostars, such as Sergey Lazarev, Ani Lorak, Polina Gagarina, the official presentation will take place. Natalia Gordienko and the Dream Team, who are signing the Moldovan entry this year, are literally almost ready for Eurovision 2021. The song is in its final form, the video has already been shot, and rehearsals for the stage show have begun. We had the pleasure to listen to the final version of the song and we present our impressions!

Initially, as we wrote in our previous articles, it is a song that has nothing to do with Prison, last year’s song of Natalia Gordienko in the contest. It is quite sexy and very special. It is loyal to the pop music scene that is currently breaking ground in Eastern Europe. Characteristic songs of the genre are many recent releases of Svetlana Loboda, Max Barkish, Zivret, Dima Bilan etc.

It is a sound like the one that Maruv first tried to bring to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2019, the Siren Song. The difference between them is that Gordienko’s song is more melodic, while its orchestration is more with western elements.

The Dream Team is in the final stretch for Moldova‘s entry with Natalia Gordienko in Eurovision 2021.
