Sweden: “We felt an obligation to record this song” | The Mamas speak exclusively to the Eurovision Buddies!

The Mamas, the female band that would represent Sweden at Eurovision 2020 and are participating in this year’s Melodifestivalen again this year, hoping to win a ticket to the competition again, spoke exclusively in the last Eurovision Buddies interview.

The band members, Ashley Haynes, Loulou Lamotte and Dinah Yonas Manna, explain to Giota and GOS the reasons that led them to re-register for the Melodifestivalen. How their new song, In the Middle, spoke directly to their souls and they hope the same will happen to the listeners.

They do not feel pressure to win. They declared participation like thousands of other artists and all they want to convey with this participation is love.

We did not expect to win last year. Neither in the bets, nor our posts were in the top3. We were shocked!

As for the competition now, it does not scare them. They look forward to hearing the rest of the Melodifestivalen 2021 songs and seeing their interpretations.

Moldova: Natalia Gordienko officially announced for Eurovision 2021!

As we informed you in our article on June 23, Natalia Gordienko is going to represent Moldova at Eurovision 2021! Now we have the official confirmation from the country’s public television, TRM.

The members of the TRM Organizing Committee for the European Song Contest met to decide on the conditions under which Moldova is able to choose its representative at Eurovision 2021, under the conditions of the pandemic and the restrictions.

Due to COVID-19, they decided not to hold a national final this year, as the members of the Organizing Committee noted that only the creative staff and the minimum technical staff required to organize the pre-selection show exceed the limit of 50 people imposed.

So they decided to give Natalia Gordienko the opportunity to represent Moldova at Eurovision 2021, as last year’s event was canceled due to a coronavirus.

As you first read at EurovisionFun, the new song will have nothing to do with Prison, last year’s participation of Natalia Gordienko. The song will be dance… a lot of dance! Its sound and not its melody, we can say that it will be reminiscent of Maruv’s song, with which she would represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2019, the Siren Song. It’s a piece about sex and youth. Natalia is expected to set fire with her sexy presentation.

The participation of Natalia Gordienko is signed by Dream Team. The song has been composed jointly by Dimitris Kontopoulos and Philipp Kirkorov, while the director will be Fokas Evangelinos.

The song was recorded in Moscow, as due to travel restrictions Natalia Gordienko could not come to Athens. Vocal coach this time as well as in the case of Uku Suviste was Victoria Halkiti, while the present was given by Philipp Kirkorov, but also the project manager of the project, Elias Kokotos. The recording was made in Vi Studio.

Natalia is currently in Kiev, Ukraine for the shooting of the video clip of the song that will compete in Eurovision 2021. The song along with the clip is expected to be presented by March 8.

Natalia Gordienko has a different strategy for Eurovision 2021. Until then, let us remember Prison, with which he would represent the country of Moldova in last year’s competition:

Norway: Is Raylee’s “Hero” the answer to “Holding Out For A Hero”? (Editorial)

Since last night, Eurovision Bubble has been dealing with the impressive performance of Raylee in the second semifinal of MGP 2021, with Hero. A song with a clear 80s sound and an appearance that referred to this decade, but also with lyrics that many commented on social media, right in my opinion, that it is essentially the “answer” to Holding Out For A Hero by Bonnie Tyler.

Bonnie Tyler may feel weak and wait for her hero to save her from the difficulties she faces, but Raylee does not need anyone! As she mentions in her song, she feels quite strong and does not need any heroes, since she has enough self-confidence to fight any obstacles in her life!

This time a different story
You’re not gonna steal my glory
Some things you can’t do for me
Won’t let you come to my rescue

Chorus
Oh-oh, I don’t need a hero, I don’t need a hero
Oh-oh, baby, look at me go, I don’t need a hero
Don’t need a hero
I don’t need a hero, no
Sorry ’bout your ego
I don’t, I don’t, I don’t need a hero

So beyond the costume, stage, musical reference of the whole act in the 80s and the lyrics with this clever contrast in one of the most famous songs of the decade, travels us back in time in a very beautiful way. Of course, the most iconic moment is at the end, when Raylee represents a scene from the 1983 film, Flashdance, also one of the most iconic films of the decade.

Those who loved this decade, it was normal to love Raylee’s Hero, for all the reasons mentioned above. After all, the 80s are in fashion and are everywhere, not just in music. Of course, there were also negative reactions, since for some it all reminded of carnivals. However, Raylee certainly achieved her goal, as Hero is the topic of discussion throughout the fandom and besides, it brought interest in a national final that many had predicted last week that KEiiNO would win easily. Norway after the end of yesterday’s semifinal, went up three places in the bets; maybe this is indicative…

Eurovision 2021: Sietse Bakker “reveals” how the contest will be held | Will there be any audience?

A literally last minute news. In a recent TV interview in the Netherlands, the executive producer of Eurovision 2021, Sietse Bakker, essentially reveals how the contest will take place.

According to Sietse Bakker, the primary concern of the organizers is to bring all the artists and delegations to Rotterdam in May.

Our priority is to bring all artists and expeditions to the Netherlands. If there is no other option, then the contest should be held without an audience.

Sietse Bakker, however, did not rule out the possibility of seeing the audience on the stands of the Ahoy Arena, he simply shifted the decisions for the presence or not of the audience in the arena for April!

Let’s postpone the decisions for the audience for later. Until mid-April.

Once again, the executive producer of Eurovision 2021 stated that the announcement of the scenario based on which the 65th Eurovision Song Contest will take place, will take place by mid-February.

The above means that the worst case scenario currently being considered is C, with the live presence of all the artists who can travel to Rotterdam and the absence of the audience. Apparently we will be late to find out if we finally see the colorful mosaic of fans in May at the Ahoy Arena.

Stay tuned to Eurovisionfun for all the developments related to our favorite contest!
