Today is the final day that all interested artists can submit their bids to ERT in order to represent Greece in Eurovision 2022!

The latest artist that submitted his proposal is the famous Greek singer Nikos Ganos, who recently announced on his Instagram profile that he had 2 songs ready for Eurovision and was looking for a 3rd one!

It’s not the first time that Nikos Ganos expresses his interest for a Eurovision participation, as he has stated in the past that he would gladly compete in a Greek National Final.

It remains to be seen if one of the 3 songs he submitted will be chosen to represent Greece in the next Eurovision contest!

Greece: Joanne submitted her proposal to ERT!

The battle for the representation of Greece in Eurovision 2022 will be fierce and another candidacy was recently submitted to ERT, claiming the Greek representation at Eurovision 2022.. The reason, of course, for Joanne, better known as Ioanna Georgakopoulou.

As we had revealed to you as early as September 17, the 19-year-old singer was expected to officially be MINOS EMI’s proposal for Eurovision 2022. So it happened. Having the blessings of her coach at The Voice, Elena Paparizou, and her vocal teacher, Manto, the young singer will claim her chances to be the representative of Greece next May in Turin.

The Voice winner’s proposal includes a modern, upbeat and emotional sound, exactly in the style that Joanne wants to represent.

In order to submit the best possible proposal to ERT, Joanne chose to work with familiar faces. She collaborates, therefore, with DJ Michalis Tsousopoulos and ARCADE (Greece 2020 and 2021), who have also edited her first single “Twist in my Sobriety”, by Tanita Tikaram in a dance version.

Also on her team is popular singer and songwriter Sarah De Warren, who has collaborated with great DJs such as Kaskade, Martin Jensen and Mike Perry, while her songs have more than 50 million streams.

Greece: Amanda Georgiadis submitted her proposals to ERT!

Amanda Georgiadis or as her stage name is, Amanda Tenfjord, submitted her complete proposal to ERT, aiming to claim the Greek representation in the 66th Eurovision Song Contest!

Fully confirming our summer article, which was referring that Amanda was interested in raising the Greek flag at Eurovision 2022, she recently sent her proposal to ERT.

Amanda’s Proposal

Her proposal includes a song, which as you read in our previous articles, is an inner ballad, written by her, that leads the listener to an explosion of emotions. The song was written after her separation, with a long-term relationship.

It was a painful separation and my feelings were extreme. When I was writing it, of course, I did not have in mind the Eurovision Song Contest, but when the idea came to me to take part in the Greek selection, everyone who listened to this song told me that this would be an ideal participation for both my country and me.

Amanda

The producer and orchestrator of the song is Bjørn Helge Gammelsæter, a Norwegian musician with several important collaborations to his credit.

The feeling caused by Amanda’s melody and interpretation is so intense that I wanted the approach to production to be as abstract as possible. I used a vocoder, something that makes the song very special without losing its sensitivity. The orchestration of the song has been built around Amanda’s voice so that her unique tone is not lost.

Fokas Evangelinos, who strongly believes in her participation, will take over her stage appearance in Turin, if of course she is selected.

From the first moment I saw Amanda and heard her song, I felt that she has this unique and special thing that the Eurovision contest demands. Amanda herself has a special beauty and a charm that attracts you from the first moment you see her, while her song creates strong emotions that can lead to a very special scene. presence that will make her stand out.

Fokas Evangelinos

The director of the video clip of the song will be Kostas Karydas, the same director who took over Stefania. The successful director gives us a small hint, for the result we will see, in case Amanda is the final choice of ERT.

I find the song excellent and Amanda a girl with very special beauty. The track has a strong introversion and I think that cinematically I have to move in the opposite direction to have a very interesting result. Because I recognize that in the Eurovision Song Contest the ethnic elements in the music of the songs are obsolete, we will try to include the Greek element in the video clip, as we did last year with Stefania.

Kostas Karydas

Project Manager of the whole effort will be Ilias Kokotos, through whom Amanda was approached by ERT. We remind you that Ilias Kokotos, project manager of all Dream Team participations in the competition, was the one who proposed Stefania to ERT in the fall of 2019.

Who Is Who

Amanda Georgiadis, 24, was born in Oslo but lived the first years of her life in Ioannina, where she visits every summer as her family maintains a home in the area.

At the age of 3, her parents decide to move to the small town of Tenfjord in Norway. At the age of 5 she started taking piano lessons and became an amateur musician, writing her first songs as a teenager. At the age of 18 she began her studies in medicine, while at the same time taking part in various festivals. 

She released her first EP, “First impression” under the stage name Amanda Tenfjord, from the city from which she grew up and received excellent reviews. Her second EP includes the song “Then I fell in love” which is a great radio success, remaining for over 20 weeks in the official top 10 radio chart of Norway. In 2020 Netflix includes the song “Troubled Water” in the series “Spinning out”.

Albania: Elhaida Dani returns to Festivali i Kenges!

She is one of the most popular singers in Albania and as everything shows, in a few months we will see her again at the Festivali i Kenges, claiming to represent her country in the 66th Eurovision Song Contest. We are of course talking about Elhaida Dani who confirms the rumors that existed in the past and wanted her as one of the participants in the upcoming FiK!

Elhaid Dani has a karmic relationship with Italy, the country that will host Eurovision 2022, since in 2013 she won the first edition of The Voice of Italy, winning in the final with an inconceivable 70% of the votes!

In recent years, many have supported the possibility of Elhaida Dani returning to the Eurovision stage. In 2022 this is very likely to happen, if of course FiK wins, which will be held as usual next December.

Recently, through her Instagram profile, she responded positively to the urging of a fan to represent Albania once again in the European song contest, saying:

This will be Elhaida’s third entry in FiK, which she won in 2014 with the song Diell. Elhaida then changed the song with which she participated in Eurovision 2015, performing I’m Alive, occupying the 17th place in the final.

Greece: The deadline for Eurovision 2022 will not be extended! EXCLUSIVE

A little more than 24 hours are left for those artists who wish to claim the Greek representation in Eurovision 2022. Tomorrow is the last day of the deadline given by ERT for the submission of proposals by record labels, creators, performers, etc. According to our exclusive information, the Greek public television is not going to give any extension to the deadline.

For more than a month, the interested parties had at their disposal to prepare their proposals and send them to ERT, in order to claim the Greek ticket for Eurovision 2022.

ERT is more than satisfied with the level of participation and the great interest shown by a large and significant number of artists, creators, producers, etc., something that seemed unlikely some years ago. The choice of the management of ERT for a closed, internal selection proves to be correct, since as we have mentioned many times in the past, almost none of the artists who submitted a participation would have participated in a national television final.

So no extension is going to be given, since too many entries have already been submitted, with even more expected tomorrow.

Greece: Evangelia submitted her proposal to ERT!

As we have already revealed, the Greek-American singer Evangelia Psarakis is the joint proposal of Panik Records and Sony Music Germany to ERT for Eurovision 2022.

Evangelia’s complete bid was officially submitted to ERT earlier today and it includes 3 modern pop songs which incorporate greek traditional elements, like her previous singles (Pame Pame, Fotia, Diving). The songs are written by Evangelia herself and her partner in life, Jay Stolar.

Stolar is a renowned producer and has collaborated with various worldwide superstars, including Selena Gomez, John Legend and Demi Lovato. His songs have amassed more than 200 million streams.

It has been revealed that Evangelia will be a candidate not only for the Greek, but also for the Cypriot representation in Eurovision 2022!

Who is Evangelia?

Evangelia is 29 years old and hails from the greek island of Crete. She has a uniqye and interesting style in her music, combining traditional music with modern pop. She has been raised both in Crete with her grandmother but also in New Jersey where her parents used to live. You can definetely hear both of her roots in her sound.

Greece: Ilias Kozas submitted his proposals to ERT!

An other artist, who is feverishly working his own proposal, is Ilias Kozas. This time as a solo artist, he will try to get on the Eurovision stage for a second time after 2013 in Malmö Sweden, where he ended up in 6th place alongside with Koza Mostra and Agathonas Iakovidis.

It comes out as a surprise the fact that Ilias Kozas has submitted three songs, all of them with English lyrics and not with Greek. His proposed entries are of rock style, a genre he has served in his recent work both as solo artist and together with Koza Mostra band.

With an already good “previous service” at the contest, having been the last Greek entry that has finished in top 10 before Stefania brought the nation back to it this year, do you thing that ERT will give him the green light to represent the Greek colours once more in Turin in 2022?

Greece: Good Job Nicky submitted his proposal to ERT! EXCLUSIVE

It is a fact that Nikolas Varthakouris or as he is artistically known – Good Job Nicky, recently submitted his complete proposal to ERT, officially claiming the Greek representation at Eurovision 2022.

Through Eurovisionfun you first read, on May 29, just a few days after the final of the previous contest, that Good Job Nicky is interested in raising the Greek colors at Eurovision 2022. During the summer we fully confirmed that the young artist is preparing a song, in order to submit it to ERT. On September 24, you first read here some first information about his song, that it is a mid-tempo, cinematic piece, that fits perfectly in the special voice of Nikolas.

We are now able to confirm that the record company Cobalt, which represents the artist, submitted its proposal to ERT earlier for the 66th Eurovision Song Contest.

This proposal includes Good Job Nicky as a singer, with a song by Hermes Geragidis, with which Good Job Nicky collaborates throughout his artistic career. Fokas Evangelinos will be in charge of directing if he is selected. Elias Kokotos, project manager of all Dream Team entries, will also play an active role in the Good Job Nicky’ s effort.

According to our reliable information, more than ten proposals of artists have already been submitted, some of which have more than one song.

In the next few days that remain for the expiration of the deadline (October 10), we expect the submission of the proposals of the other artists who in the previous period expressed interest, in order to represent Greece in Eurovision 2022.

Evangelia claims (addition to the Greek), the Cypriot representation in Eurovision 2022!

You did not read wrong, as revealed by the Sunday Mail, which hosts statements by Evangelia, the young singer is claiming in addition to the Greek and Cypriot representation at Eurovision 2022, since she will submit (if she has not already submitted) some of the songs she has prepared at RICK!

This development comes shortly before the expiration of the deadline given by ERT to the record companies, production companies, performers and creators, who wish to represent Greece in the 66th Eurovision Song Contest.

Despite the fact that she has not yet sent her proposal to ERT, according to our reliable information, the Sunday Mail reveals that Evangelia is now among the possible representatives of Cyprus.

Cyprus is known for its cultural diversity, but there is one common denominator and that is music. I share the same feeling!

It remains unknown whether Evangelia will finally submit her proposal to ERT or will focus on claiming the Cypriot representation. However, in recent interviews, she had outlined the songs she had in mind for the contest, saying that they will have a strong Greek element, in the pattern of the songs she has already released.

Greece: Kalomira collaborates with Mohombi for Eurovision 2022!

With less than a week left for the submission of proposals for Greece’s representation in Eurovision 2022, all interested artists are preparing their songs. Kalomira could not be an exception.

Our representative in 2008 is working hard with her team, in order to submit to ERT her proposals for the representation of Greece in Eurovision 2022. In this context, she collaborates with the famous Swedish musician, Mohombi.

According to the post of the 35-year-old singer and composer on social media, he is currently in Athens and is preparing some new songs with Kalomira.


In fact, it is characteristic that in the post he posted on Instagram, Mohombi states: Writing hits only. Writing history. Let’s go Kalomira!

As we revealed to you in our previous article, the 36-year-old singer was in the song search phase, with her desire to represent Greece at Eurovision 2022 being a given. In order to submit a comprehensive proposal to ERT, it was likely to turn to foreign creators. So it happened.

According to information that has come to light in the last few hours, three songs will be submitted to ERT by the popular artist.

Mohombi

Mohombi is a well-known name to Eurofans around the world. He has participated three times in Melodifestivalen (2005, 2019, 2020), having as his best result the 5th place in 2019 with the song “Hello”. He became world famous with the song “Bumpy Ride” which was released in 2010 and counts several awards in his record, with the Grammy from his participation in Pitbull’s album “DALE” in 2016 standing out.

We therefore expect with great impatience the result of this cooperation, with the countdown for the submission of proposals for the representation of Greece in Eurovision 2022 to have begun. All interested parties have until Sunday to submit their proposals.
